Wes Welker Fined 10K for Snow Angel
http://www.boston.com/sports/football/patriots/reiss_pieces/2008/12/welker_fined_10.html
Patriots receiver Wes Welker has been fined $10,000 for making a "snow angel" in the team's 47-7 victory over the Cardinals on Sunday, colleague Christopher L. Gasper reports.
Unbelievable. I could look over the 10k fine for Shaun Ellis for throwing the snowball, because it could have (in some 1 in 1,999,999 million chance kinda way) hurt someone.
But this, is absolutely terrible. It's the holiday season, it was snowing, it's football. The term No Fun League is seriously underestimating the scroogeiness of the NFL.
Wow.
My Birthday List for tommorow
So tommorow is my birthday, 22, (boring age) but I could care less...IT'S FOOTBALL SEASON!
Anyways, here is my birthday list for tommorow...
1. Cowboys victory, no injuries
2. My fantasy teams do well enough to get me some wins (Although Chris Cooley is my TE in both leagues and he contributed a massive .60 points total in both leagues on Thursday, thanks dude!)
3. Adam Jones does well...I always admire someone who can turn themselves around when they are on the wrong path. He has done that so far and I really am hoping for him to do well. I admire someone who acknowledges their mistakes and acts on them.
4. T.O. does something funny in the endzone, and Brown's fan are enraged.
5. Eagles lose.
6. Roy Williams doesn't come flying into the picture 4 seconds in after a touchdown catch...hope he has a good day.
7. Jessica Alba is naked in my bed after the game...
8. I watch the WWE pay-per-view with a naked Jessica Alba
9. Followed by passionate love making with said Alba.
10. Good night's sleep.
That will be a good day.
Score for Sunday
What do ya got for the score Sunday and what's your prediction for some notable stats?
Dallas- 28
Cleveland-17
MB3 goes over 100 and has two scores and Witten finds the endzone twice as well...simple enough right? Cleveland struggles to run the ball but gets two deep ball touchdowns one to Edwards and and to Stallworth...plus a field goal. I'm thinking Hamlin picks off one pass and lets give Newman one as well.
What do ya got?
What do you even say?
What do you even say after a game like that. That was the weirdest and most ridiculous game I have ever seen in my life. I'm not knee-jerking here either, it was between this game and the Rose Bowl with USC/Texas but this one tops that. Romo throws 5 picks. We miss a two-point by a hair. We get an onside kick. Then our rookie kicker wins it twice. God, I love this team. Bring on the Patriots. I don't care...this team is without a doubt better than it showed tonight, and they still won. Despite the horrid game Romo had, he showed incredible poise late and led us to victory. The phrase of me and my friends after the game "I can't stop shaking"....un folkin beliveable.
Tony Romo - America's Kid
I was watching Monday Night Countdown on ESPN on Monday and Tom Jackson said that Bret Farve wins for "the funnest player in the league." Now I agree with that, but I think he's got some serious competition coming up in the form of our own Tony Romo. I want to tell you why I am such a fan of Tony Romo. It's not just the slippery moves in the pocket or the slick passes downfield. Sure, I love Romo's game but I want love even more is that he just seems like a little kid out there.
Anytime I've seen or heard Tony Romo during an interview, he always seems to know that an interview is just that..an interview. It's not an investigation. He has fun with it. Take our opener against the Giants. Right before the game is about to start, Suzy Kolber got Romo's final thoughts. He gave them and then as he was about to run to play an NFL game..he gave a little fun look back at the camera. He raised his eyebrows and just smiled like a big ole' goof. This is a guy who loves this game and to me, looks like he loves life.
First Time Diary from a PA Boys Fan
Hey all you Cowboy fans. I don't know how many of you are going to read this, but I figured I'd give it a shot. I'm a Penn State junior out here in Happy Valley and also a life-long Dallas Cowboys fan. I live in an apartment with 3 Eagles fans..so you have to imagine things get quite interesting during the NFL calendar.
I just wanted to start writing a diary because I'm a Journalism major out here and I thought this could be quite interesting to try out. I'm gonna try to post something after each game..just a reflection of my thoughts from the previous week and a look ahead to the next game. Hopefully they'll be organized thoughts..but sometimes they might just be random things that pop into my head...either way I hope you enjoy reading it.
Anyways, hopefully I'll try to get a diary to look into the late practice on Monday night for the Patriots game. Yeah, I just did that. Thats what you can expect from my diary..lots of jumping the gun and jinxing the team. Ha, I'm just kidding. It's late but I'll be back sometime later this week with another one of thse.
