Addicted To Quack Alright, time for a witch hunt.

WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS?

Oregon Ducks Football Music (via videostables1)

Found this today posted on EDSBS, and all that's going to do is bring us shame. Shame, terrible, terrible shame.

This isn't even funny. Unfunny, uninspired, and a late-term abortion of a fan rap. And then it goes into spazms and racism. I'm all for fun or funny videos and raps, but this is just a wet fart and a plague on humanity.

Bring me the head of those responsible on a platter, because this is NOT what we are about.

Oh, and GO DUCKS.

Addicted To Quack Bellotti stepping down as football h.c. today?

Posting on Oregonlive from Canzano's blog saying sources have told the Oregonian it's going to happen today.

Apparently 95.5 The Game cut short the final hour of Rome today and said it's happening as well. This is the only other confirmation I've seen.

I'll try to find more news today, but this is obviously big if it happens. The end of an era, etc. Nothing on GoDucks or Moseley's blog as of yet. Kind of freaking out right now because this is pretty monumental if it's true.

[edit 2] apparently the outgoing President of the University of Oregon, Dave Frohnmayer - who's replacement is being named today, too - said that Bellotti will move into the Athletic Director's role as of July 1, and that Chip Kelly will be head coach as of the start of spring practice in two weeks.

The Ralphie Report CU Tennis at home this weekend

If you find yourself looking for something to fill your Buff cheering place this weekend, the tennis team is hosting two games this weekend to kick off the Big 12 conference season. Tomorrow, No. 64 Oklahoma squares off against CU at 2 p.m.; Sunday, Oklahoma State comes to town, with a match that starts at 11 a.m.

Tomorrow's match will for sure be at the Millennium Hotel's Harvest House (the big indoor bubble), and while Sunday's location is still technically a question mark, I'd bank on it being there, too.

CU has the release up for the Oklahoma game, and my preview will be up later in the night and in tomorrow's paper.

The Ralphie Report Johnson confirmed as new OL coach

The press release came through earlier this afternoon; regardless of how "done" it looked to be, it's still nice to see confirmation. Johnson of course replaces Jeff Grimes, who left for this position over at Auburn.

Any thoughts? Sounds like, despite a 12-year stint at the head coaching level, he's an OL guy by trade, which is clearly what's needed to fill the position.

For reference, here's todays preview of the hiring story from the Daily Camera.

The Ralphie Report "Your Team" town hall meetings start tonight

CU is holding another round of "Your Team" town hall meetings and the first one is tonight at 7 p.m. at the Boulder Broker Inn.

Part of the presentation will be a slideshow breaking down some facts and figures related to the athletic department (including the explanation for raising football season ticket prices, which actually makes a lot of sense) as well as a question and answer session. A.D. Mike Bohn will of course be in attendance, but besides a nebulous "other coaches and CU faculty as they are available," the rest of the speakers are unknown.

A list of all the meeting times and locations is available from CUbuffs.com.

The Ralphie Report Mike Bohn press roundtable notes

Bohn held a roughly hour-long press pow-wow today, and while The Camera's Neil Woelk has some info up on football season ticket prices, there was more interesting stuff that happened there today, even if some of it was just hinted and not confirmed.

Here's a quick roundup of the roundtable that's been written quickly to christen my Colorado Daily sports coverage blog. (RR admins, feel free to bookmark that, as anything I do will go up there, even just as a link.) Expect more for sure on Wednesday!
