Tommy's shocking revelation and bold predictions
Please follow the link and read the comments by Tommy. As someone who lives and breaths Eagles football these comments were not shocking to me. I've been accused of being a McNabb hater, but I think looking at Tommy's comments I viewed him the same way as many of his teammates did.

On to the bold predictions:
Premature? Maybe, but still worth thinking about
If Kolb becomes the QB next year how do we determine whether he is sucessful? Seriously, what objective criteria can we use to measure if he is an improvement over McNabb?
At the highest level the QB has the most impact on the games outcome. They get the glory, they get the blame and rightly so. I propose that wins should be a criteria for measurement. I say this because I compare Kolb to Rogers. Rogers put up great stats his first year starting, but couldn't win close games or get to the playoffs. This stat is also influenced by the defense being well rested because we have less 3 and outs, but also the effect of the pick 6's that Kolb seems to love.
Donnie went 10-5 last year. He beat zero playoff teams. We went 4-2 in the division.
If Kolb can get more than 10 wins, beat a playoff team or go better than 4-2 in the division he gets 10 points for each.
Possible points so far: 30
Next the important individual stats for QBs
McNabb last year
Rating: 92.9
Turnovers: 13
TD's: 24 (including rushing)
Yards: 3553
YPA: 8
Completion %: 60.3
Same deal as above 10 for each.
Possible points so far: 90
Wins a playoff game - 10 Points
Possible points so far: 100
I think this will give an objective score with which to evaluate Kolb's first year. My initial thought when I heard we were trading McNabb was; if Kolb can be 80% of the QB Don was and we get a stud, a high draft pick or a combination of both, we will be a better team.
Thanks for your time. Thoughts welcome (including weighting the measures differently).
Stats that will make your eyes bleed (mostly because of the formatting)
