The question is, will the promise of good defense and a pitchers park overcome the anti-Oakland FA trend. I think we would still need to outbid most everyone else, but Billy does have money to spend after missing out on Beltre and Chapman.

I'm all for it since it likely keeps Cahill and Mazzaro on the farm to perfect their craft. They will be up soon enough based on our injury history. Can't have too much starting pitching...

Not to mention it would keep Sheets away from the Mariners, Angels and Rangers who are all rumored to be involved.
