BJ EvansThe 76ers have decided to use the amnesty clause on Elton Brand and the $18M left on final year of his deal, league sources tell Y! Sports.
WojNot Cowboys related, but I think a very cool thing to do.
@KJ_MayorJohnson: 'Plan B' is dead, economics don't make sense w/o Kings.
Ryan LillisNets "very close" to acquiring Joe Johnson from Hawks for Farmar, Petro, Morrow, Williams, Stevenson and protected pick
David AldridgeDalembert and the 14th pick go the Bucks for the 12th pick, Jon Brockman, Jon Leuer and Shaun Livingston, sources tell Y!
Adrian Wojnorowski, Yahoo! SportsSources said the Kings aren't as content as I'd previously thought about the idea of grabbing whichever player falls between Kidd-Gilchrist and Barnes (assuming Beal is gone and Robinson, with whom they'd likely be thrilled, is off the board as well). As discussed back in Mock 2.0, I'm now hearing once again that they may go big in an attempt to find a complement for young center DeMarcus Cousins. I still put Barnes here because he's the value pick who could be dealt to another team as part of a trade in which the Kings move back to select a big man. Sources said one of the possibilities is to swap picks with Golden State (No. 7) and pick up another asset. And it's well-chronicled that the Kings can move back in exchange for Houston's 14th and 16th picks. As for which big man they'd opt for? That's not clear yet, though I'm told it wouldn't be Connecticut center Andre Drummond. Some of the candidates include North Carolina power forward John Henson, Kentucky power forward Terrence Jones, and, depending on how far back they went, Mississippi State power forward Arnett Moultrie. St. John's small forward Moe Harkless, who is expected to go in the mid-to-late first round, had a surprise workout in Sacramento on Monday.
Sam Amick Mock 3.0Giants waived/injured Jake Ballard. There's a surprise.
Gregg RosenthalTyreke Evans was the Rookie of the Year in the 2009-10 season. But heading into his fourth season, the Kings are not expected to offer him a contract extension, though he will be eligible for one this offseason.
Sac BeeA Colts official declined comment, yet a person connected to the team said Indianapolis has been trying to pry loose Jenkins with an offer that one source said "many teams would think is compelling.
The voting panel consisted of the NBA's 30 head coaches, who were asked to select five players for the first team and five players for the second team, regardless of position. Coaches were not permitted to vote for players on their own team. Two points were awarded for first team votes and one for second team votes.
Sacramento Kings swingman Terrence Williams would be perfect because he can play the 1, 2 or 3, but it appears as though he's going to be staying in California and it was doubtful he'd be available for the minimum.
Josh Selby got a 3rd place vote .... really?
Whooooo! Making Cowboys fans everywhere proud.
JimmyK questioning if Dallas made the right move, passing over people like Ingram and Konz.
Kings win tiebreaker with New Jersey and have 5th best chance of landing top pick in the NBA Draft Lottery.
Jason JonesI've seen his name thrown around here as a target ... but either way ... very impressive.
First off, F the Maloofs. After a day of letting all the information and emotions set in, I fully believe the Maloofs will do everything in their power to get out of Sacramento. They'd much rather...
CBS Sports' Rob Rang confirms that the Cowboys have not scheduled pre-draft visits with Stanford OG David DeCastro or Memphis NT Dontari Poe. The Cowboys have a documented history of drafting players they host for pre-draft visits. Based on Dallas' track record, Rang expects the club to select an SEC star at No. 14. The Cowboys have hosted Alabama S Mark Barron, Alabama OLB Courtney Upshaw, South Carolina CB Stephon Gilmore, Alabama CB Dre Kirkpatrick, Georgia G/T Cordy Glenn, and Mississippi State DT Fletcher Cox.
RotoworldJust got it confirmed from the Cowboys, former special teams coach Joe Avezzano has died
Clarence Hill. RIP Coach.Several sources have told us in recent weeks the franchise has shifted its focus to the defensive line and as of today Memphis defensive tackle Dontari Poe is the apple of their eyes.

I like this quote by Dwyer: And Cousins is getting there as well, if he's not (shoot)-level good already. As the Bee points out, DMC is averaging over 27 and 13 in his last five games, growing more and more comfortable working under Kings coach Keith Smart. Sacramento remains stuck in the midst of an unending rebuilding project, but they also pulled two absolute winners out of the last two drafts in Cousins and guard Isaiah Thomas, and you can only stay crummy for so long with players like these on the court.
When looking at the WRs behind Miles Austin and Dez Bryant, don't count Teddy Williams. He's moving back to CB when on-field work starts.
Rob Phillipstrading with the Chargers, dropping to 18 and taking Konz. Picking up a 3rd rounder in the process. Wouldn't mind that at all.
