Given the wealth of talent and experience our Oregon Ducks posses in the backfield we are posed with an interesting and fortunate "problem". With James, Barner and Alston all currently occupying the backfield, barring injury in the current depth chart what should happen Seastrunk as far as playing time is concerned? Personally using his redshirt this year or next like Darron Thomas would give us a solid running back option for one more year once James has moved on.

For months now we have heard the rumors regarding Pac-10 and other expansion talk, the latest was broke by ESPN. It seems as though the Big 12 is a sinking ship and the beneficiaries will be the Pac 10 and Big 10 conferences. The latest proposal is to send Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas, Texas Tech, Texas A&M, and Colorado, lump them in with Arizona and Arizona State to form an Eastern division leaving California, Oregon and Washington teams to form the Western division. This creates a couple of great opportunities for our Conference, #1. A potentially very lucrative TV deal, #2 a conference championship, and #3 no more round robin!  Leave your comments below.

On September 3rd, 2009 Duck Nation saw any dreams of a successful season blown away in a fit of rage. The season was lost, or so it seemed. I don't suggest that we bring any of the recent perpetrators back, however I do believe that we will see the emergence of new leaders on our football team that will show what it really means to be a winner.  It happens all the time, something really bad can happen then once the smoke clears things are made right. Duck fans, stick with your team, Coach Kelly I hope you can pull the team through these hard times, make this the story of the season for all the right reasons.
