This post is going out to the locals i.e. those who live in Eugene, Portland and surrounding areas. I am coming out for the BSU game with two other friends and I need some info on hotels. I have heard that the Bronco faithful travel well. I need to find us a hotel in or around Eugene(Springfield, Santa Clara) that isn't gonna cost me an arm and leg. We would like to keep it to $75 a night MAX.

Please if anyone can make any suggestions for a specific hotel or a decent place that might fall in those price parameters and locales I would be greatly appreciative.

I saw this kid play in the East/West Shriners game the other day and I must say I am pulling for the kid. He played 8 man football in HS and was the QB/K anything they needed. He ran all over and around the other kids in the all star game. Like I said he was a QB in HS but they have him listed as a WR(I guess that is where he can best get a shot on the field seeing as how we have 5 QB's)). He walked on and I hope he not only makes and stays with the team but I hope we hear somethings from him a few years down the road.

Just my 2 cents worth.

Also while I have this post open, has anyone heard what is going on with televising the games this year. I live in NC and the only way I got games last year was thru FSN or ESPN gameplan. Unless they were national games I had to order the package on a weekly basis. I was thinking of getting the whole year because it is cheaper then buying 7 weekends. I am not going to get it if they are not going to show Ducks' games. Anyone got any info?

Expansion

I just read a few articles from Duck Sports news concerning the arena of expansion. Now the articles come from a fansite and his best two options where Utah and BYU. He goes on in the articles to defend his reason. I won't waste space and time here for that. My question is if the Pac 10 where to expand to 12 which 2 teams would you want and why? I am going to take the stance for which 2 teams best serve the Pac 10 in all sports but mainly the big two, football and mens basketball.

When giving an answer please try and give valid reasoning.

My 2 choices would be Boise State and Fresno State. Both have shown no fear when playing teams from bigger conferences. Both stand up reasonably well against the Pac 10 and by getting BSU we can tap into the market of Idaho(albiet small) and the rural middle part of cali. The new travel would not put to much new strain on teams and both schools have name recognition.

Those are my choices now I want to hear from you guys.

OK so I just read in the Duck Sports News that the JC QB Masoli is signing this morning w/the Ducks. If you are doing your math correctly that gives us 7 COUNT EM 7 QB's. Now I know that we were down to our 5th choice last year by bowl time but c'mon this is getting a bit ridiculous. Mosley's article states that he should be right in the mix for a starting position. If that is true what does that mean for the other 6 guys?

Here is my question to you Duck Nation(reading this article anyway) If you were Bellotti what would you do in this situation? Leave Costa at starter, or move him to 2nd string if this Masoli pans out? What about Thomas and Harper? Red shirt them and give them time to find a postion or learn the QB spot giving them 4 full years?
I am curious as to what this new found plethera of QB's (all with minimal experience) will do for not only the upcoming year but for a few years to come.

PS If this signing does pan out and he is as good as advertised I am gonna go out on a limb and say at least one guy will tranfer, maybe two.

Spring game

Does anyone know if the Spring game will be televised, either on TV or the internet? Being here in the south I think my best bet to catch any of the game would be through the latter. Plus what time does it start on the West coast? Are there any links to the format with 1's v 1's or 1's v2's?
Any info would be much appreciated.

Looks like the most sought after Quaterback of this recruiting class is becoming a Buckeye. ESPN reports that Pryor has signed with Ohio State.
Well after not getting him out to Eugene this comes as no suprise. I guess he would rather spend all game dropping back and handing off to the running back then running options and play action passes from the shotgun.
In the article he cited distance from his father and high school coach as a major reason for his decision. Can't blame him for that... But I think our future at QB looks pretty good anyway.
