Did nobody see Whitlock on Inside the NFL last night??
He straight bashed on Haley and the Chiefs last night and pissed off all for of the guys as well during his stay. I was expecting some talk on AP this morning but i havents seen anybody mention it. Just wondering if anyone saw it and what they think.
Jamaal Charles: "Poor man's Chris Johnson"?
Or has Chris Johnson become the poor-man's Jamaal Charles?
I remember hearing JC being referred to as a "Poor-Man's Chris Johnson" (like Go-Bots are the K-Mart version of Transformers), during and after the second half of the 2009 season. Now let's see who's the discount clearance item...

Cool Jones and Charles relationship story
"Charles says that those observers simply don’t understand: He and Jones are a package deal now, and that’s a good thing for the Chiefs"
Man I love this team
Mindframe of the Chiefs
I like to hear stuff like this. That they take the loss as hard/harder than we do:
"After a difficult loss last week, on the most quiet plane I’ve been on since 1998..." (Commenting on "the health of the team" section)
"Guys were sleeping or sitting there, staring, deep in thought."
Comparing Matt Cassel VS Tyler Thigpen
Let me start be saying I'm really happy that we got Cassel in the fashion that we did. I think it was GREAT for us to bring him in and do it w/ a 2nd rounder and also getting Vrable. I found out when my brother (raider fan) text me "cassel huh?" I replied w/ some profanity. But when he told me we got him AND Vrable with only a 2nd round pick.... I was ecstatic.
But, I'm not sold on Cassel being given QB1 or him (necessarily) being a franchise QB over Tyler Thigpen. Though I hope he (or Thigpen for that matter) proves to be both of those.
I know that an argument against Cassel is that he is a product of the New England system.
I know that an argument against Thigpen is that he only has 1 win.
My intent with this post is to compare Tyler Thigpen & Matt Cassel as STARTERS in 2008.

2004 By PacChief's theory
Since i was told a couple times (in very nice ways) to do the research, I felt compelled to do so (my girlfriend was stoked...). I picked 2004 randomly and also because it gives some time for devolopment. Let me just say that I don't/didn't want PacChief's theory to pass nor fail. I was completely indifferent. I just wanted all the information first.
Some Thigpen Variables
I know it's been brought up before, but Thigpen DID come into the season just trying to make it as QB3. He had no chance at being the starting guy. Brody had this job handed to him and it was only his to lose. I feel that the we should only truly judge Thigpen's performance based on the games that he had an entire week (Plenty of time right?) to prepare as QB1 of the Kansas City Chiefs. Keep in mind that when we were asked what Thigpen needs to do to keep the job (week 8) until week 17, most of us just said, "DON'T TURN IT OVER!"
Anyone else not able to view arrowhead addict?

Tyler Thigpen VS Manning, Brees and Brady
I have been curious of how Tyler compares to some of the elite NFL QB's, so I looked up a few. These are just the first 3 (who I happen to think are the top 3 current NFL QB's):
Tom Brady, 2001 (2nd year):
95 rat 63/121 820yds 5TD 0INT VS Indx2 Mia, SD (first 2 games: 0 TD under 300yds combined)
Drew Brees, 2002 (2nd):
88.6 57/96 608 4 2 vs Cin, Hou, Ari, NWE
Peyton Manning, 1998 (Rookie):
78.6 96/154 1031 5 5 vs Chi, Min, Jac, Hou
Tyler Thigpen, 2008 (2nd):
83.1 80/138 838 7 3 vs ATL, NYJ, TAM, SD
I have them broken down per game also, but just showed the average over 4 for now...
I might compare more later for fun as well.
LJ
Anybody know if LJ practiced today (or do they comeback Tue?)? Or what his status is this week? If he's playing? Partially curious also 'cuz I DO have him on one of my fantasy teams...
I'm just filling in words now so that it will allow me to publish this because I need seventy five words first.
Fourteen more to go... Sorry if this is unneccessary but I just wanted to ask and don't know any other way other than to comment and then sort through the comments...
Tony Trade
"Look, I'll always be a Chief but other players have moved on later in their careers looking for that ring. Reggie White, Jerry Rice, Joe Montana, Marcus (Allen), Favre ... it happens. This isn't easy for me to do. It's out of character for me but they may as well get something for me at this point."

Everyone of those guys left AFTER they won rings. (Except Reggie I think, i dont know that there was a time he WASN't a packer : ) They all moved because they wanted to start, not end their HOF careers on the bench...
LJ
I found a cool article on LJ and I really like this line,
Yet with the Chiefs, Johnson wants to change only so much.
"It's fine, if we're ahead by 14 or 21 points," he says. "Yeah, I would welcome that. But when it's time to win the game, I'm not coming out. I think they understand that."
