I was just wondering whether I was the only one hoping the Yanks could get the Twins in the opening round. Not only do I think the Twins would have been a softer option than Detroit but it would have set up an interesting situation. I personally would have loved to see the Yanks get some semblance of a return on Pavano's contract by getting a playoff win (attributable to his crappy starting pitching and or new buttocks injury in the first inning). Moreover, it would have been phenomenal to see how Yankee stadium would have "welcomed" the $40 million dollar bust. C'est la vie.
