Blog a Bull U.S. vs. Lithuania (Exhibition): Open Thread

The two nation's "B-Teams" face off in Spain today in a friendly warm-up. Something tells me this won't turn out so well for Lithuania, who's best player is Linas Kleiza with many of their top players out. Kleiza moved to the 4 in Greece last year, with good results against the smaller Euro front lines, as he was one of the top scorers in Europe last year. Lithuania lives and dies by the three, so if their shots aren't falling, it could get ugly fast.

Attentive Bulls fans may remember 7'3" center Martynas Andriuskevicius, who was nearly killed when teammate Awvey Storey knocked him out during a D-League practice. Andriuskevicius fractured his skull when he hit the floor, and he didn't play basketball for a year or so afterward. It wasn't a big loss for the Bulls because it was highly unlikely that he ever would've cracked an NBA rotation. He has been competing well lately, however, scoring double figures against Croatia in a Lithuanian win over Croatia to win the BEKO Supercup (a 4-team tourney in Germany held last weekend between Germany, Lithuania, Croatia, and Turkey).
