Its been a long time since I have seen fans of losing organizations be honest about the losing but this article is the best one I have seen. I understand the philosophy of being rational and not being impulsive but baseball in particular lends itself to be being impulsive and taking advantage of your current situation. If teams don't draft well it is imperative that the team pushes the envelope when they might possibly have a good team. You can't sit around and wait and hope your plan is going to work out. Anything less then full out is being half hearted and in reality irrational. It is impossible to have a consistent small market team and to think so is irrational. Seize the day and capture your fans interest. Only by spending money do you make money.

Bring in Sean May?

I say sign Sean May

to a two year deal worth 5 million total. He clearly has had some injury issues but he is still young and when healthy has proved he can be good defensively and has some offensive game. This would allow Varjaeo to play C and give J.J Hickson a big body to play against in training camp and practice. Sean May has a good post game and would help us with our interior defense against the Lakers, Magic and Celtics. I know it is a gamble but he has better upside then some of the free agents out there. With the Bucks in full salary dump mode they look poised to resign CV, so I don't see us being able to land him any more. Michael Redd might be someone we can get for Pavolvic, Ben Wallace and a second round pick next year. My Roster after trade for Redd, draft and Sean May.

The pressure is on to win a title and know this wouldn't solve all our low post issues but the addition of Redd would make us hard to stop on offense.

Lakers are in trouble?

The Lakers have not played well in the playoffs given their regular season record and Kobe is looking slow and no very interested. Andrew Bynum is clearly not 100% and Odom is just doing what he always does when the light is shining. (I.E fading away) The Lakers bench has been less then helpful and even though Pau Gasol is playing fairly well he is also failing to rebound and play good defense. I would say this team is in major trouble against the Nuggets if they get even that far.

This is a long running league and we have had some defections this year but it is a well established league. I allow for discussion of rules and stats. I am the commish but it everyone league. It is not a keepers league so it would be a full draft. The draft order would be random by Yahoo.

Prior I will not change my mechanics

According to this Prior doesn't really think that his mechanics had anything to do with his pitching injuries. Sad to say that major league pitchers trust their pitching coaches 100% and aren't willing to spend even one minute thinking about other options, especially for a guy like Prior.

Your new Starting catcher

Josh Bard is your new starting catcher. It looks more and more every day that VTek is going going gone. I can say this makes me very happy to say the least. Vtek was contributing next to nothing to the offense and was a defensive liability. Since Cash will catch Wakefield I see no reason for Vtek.

One thing that cost the Sox a WS ring

Was Manny being traded. Jason Bay is a nice hitter and all and is for sure a more complete baseball player and in the long run will be of great value to the Red Sox but not having Manny in the lineup that was really struggling minus a miracle and some good fortune. I am not going to lie I am all for Manny being Manny and I blame Boris more for Manny being an arrogant, club house cancer. I think the Red Sox need to seriously acquire a big time bat this off season and I know this is taboo but I am sick of all this keep Varitek because he is so good for the staff b.s. Pitchers are paid to win games and sure Varitek has some influence on that but when a guy is hitting .220 his value as a catcher (with a poor arm) is minimal at best. I am not sure there are better options but if there is send VTek to the curb.

I know this doctor is trying to do his best to repair injured athletes and now has a branch of his business with proper pitching mechanics and training. Apparently the Red Sox are one of the teams involved with this new training and mechanics from his office. My question is do you think these new methods his office is preaching is correct. Based on the few athletes such as Chris Carpenter who have come through his office and had continued injury issues it doesn't appear that it is working or is correct. Does anybody here have a clue what his methods are? Read this article.

Apparently Let's Go Tribe editor/hall way monitor has a problem with MLBTR and feels the site is worthless and leads to ideal speculation that is unproductive and just creates a situation where fans become enraged when trades do not happen. Look here to see what all the fuss is about on LGT. Personally I take the site for what it is, which is a rumor site where some things have some truth but most of these rumors have do not bear much facts. I am curious what the opinions of MLBTR is on this site.
