Eagles fullback Leonard Weaver has become among the first players to publicly weigh in on the McNabb trade situation.

"He's been trained well, and the position comes naturally to him," said a former NFL head coach who did not want to be named. "I think he has it. But there's really only one way to know for sure, and that's to throw him out there."

A team spokesman said yesterday that the 31-year-old former Arena League quarterback would not be a part of coach Andy Reid's staff.
