Rate our 2005, 2006, 2007 draft class
Well we usually say that you need some years to evalute what grade you should give a team in their efforts in the draft so here it goes what do you guys think of Giants 2005, 2006 and 2007 draft
Which 2010 in-season pickups will be able to grab a rooster spot next year?
We start with the WRs
Derrick Hagan
Michael Clayton Not enough room
Devin Thomas
Devin might win a job because of his Kickoff and puntreturning abilittys but he havn't showed us anything yet.
What about Clayton and Hagan well I think Hagan will make the team but not Clayton as we have Barden, Cruz, and Calhoun on the team too.
I think Hagan has already proved he's worth a rooster spot with playing some good football this season.
Then we have Jason Meridith there's no way he's getting a rosterspot.
WIll BlackmonA guy that will fight for that Returning job that he Reynaud and Thomas all try to earn. He had some playing time but played very bad so he'll probably land somewhere else in the nfl.
Brian Witherspoon
Didn't play well and will be a free agent.
Micheal Coe
A guy who was picked up for special teams duty and being a reserve Cb. He played well but I think he will have to outplay Bruce johnson to stay on the team
Well that's all the guys I remember .... If you guys know anyone else just write it bellow and I'll update the fanpost
Giants sign former Wake Forest QB Riley Skinner
Giants also waived Dominic Randolph
Pick 46
We need a MLB badly and it would be hard not to draft one in the 2nd round.
Some Mock drafts had the giants picking Brian Price in the 1st round and now he could end up being on the board on round two.
So I made a little poll to see what you guys think of drafting Price with the 46th pick.
After the JPP being drafted would you still draft a Defensive Lineman?
Nicks played injured?
It seems like everybody got hurt last year and according to Mike Garafolo Hakeem Nicks played last year with a broken toe (http://www.nj.com/giants/index.ssf/2010/04/hakeem_nicks_says_he_played_la.html)
"The Giants’ wide receiver, who had an outstanding rookie season, said he did it on a broken toe that required recent surgery to insert a screw. Nicks said the injury was a combination of a lingering issue from his time in college at North Carolina and the sprained foot he suffered in the season opener against the Redskins.
“I pretty much knew after the first game I was going to need surgery,” said Nicks, who also underwent minor wrist surgery this offseason. “But I just pushed through it. You guys saw me limping around (the locker room), I’m sure.”
Nicks said he’ll soon have the screw removed and will probably be limited this spring and maybe even into training camp, though he’s tried to speed the healing process by staying off his foot as much as possible. In fact, he said he’s remained at home instead of enjoying some free time in Manhattan so he doesn’t aggravate the injury.
After catching 47 passes for 790 yards and six touchdowns (while often running away from defenders) on a bad foot, Nicks is eager to show what he can do with a pair of healthy wheels.
Oh, and asked if he’s reflected on his rookie season and what he was able to accomplish, Nicks shook his head and said with a smile, “No, I just always keep looking forward.”"
I'm shocked about the news because I think he played very well for a WR rookie and a broken toe must have held him down a bi.
