Boston College running back and preseason ACC Player of the Year Montel Harris has been listed as probable for Saturday’s game against UMass. Harris has yet to play for the Eagles this season after undergoing a second surgery on a torn meniscus in his left knee in August. Though head coach Frank Spaziani said that Harris will be on a "pitch count" for Saturday, his return should boost the 0-3 Eagles, who are averaging just over 80 yards a games this season. Defensive tackle Kaleb Ramsey, who has been out since the first half of the Northwestern game with a foot injury, is listed as questionable, as is left guard Nate Richman (back). Also, Spaziani announced that safety Sean Sylvia, who figured to be out this week with a leg injury, was suspended for one-game because of disciplinary reasons. Sylvia did not practice on Wednesday but is practicing today.

Montel Harris is Probable, Kaleb Ramsey is Questionable, Sean Sylvia suspended one game for disciplinary reasons.

Left guard Nathan Richman (back), linebacker Steele DiVitto (leg), defensive end Max Holloway (back) and defensive tackle Dominic Appiah are probable for Saturday’s game against Duke; center Mark Spinney (knee), running back Montel Harris (knee) and defensive tackle Kaleb Ramsey (foot) are doubtful; defensive end Connor Wujciak (shoulder) is out…. Head coach Frank Spaziani said there is no drop-dead date to make a decision on whether Harris will redshirt… Harris Williams, who was moved to defensive tackle last week, is now back at offensive guard. "Problem management," explained Spaziani of the move.

Richman, Holloway, Divitto probable; Harris Williams moved back to guard.

I think this is what all BC fans are feeling right now.

The Eagles will be without Montel Harris, but still have Andre Williams and Tahj Kimble in the backfield and both are more than capable of producing on Saturday. It looks like starting left guard Nate Richman won't be able to play, which is somewhat worrisome, but Andy Gallik has done a nice job since stepping into the starting lineup at center, and Mark Spinney has made a nice transition to left guard.

EA is optimistic about BC against Northwestern.

Dan Persa Officialy listed as Questionable

Running back Andre Williams, who sprained his right ankle in Sunday’s scrimmage, will be out the rest of this week, but he and Spaziani are hoping he will be cleared to play in the opener against Northwestern Sept. 3. "There is a difference of opinion on that,’’ said Spaziani. "I’m counting on him being there.’’ Williams, who was walking without a limp yesterday, said he felt the same way. "It’s a minor sprain,’’ he said. "I can’t imagine not playing.’’ . . .

Williams was the second-leading rusher for the Eagles last season, tallying 391 yards and a touchdown. Barring any further significant development in his injury, Williams should be back to practice soon and carrying the rushing load for Boston College until Harris is healthy enough to return.

Andre Williams is fine.

The Boston College situation at running back became a little murkier this afternoon when Andre Williams went down early in the Eagles' 6-series situational scrimmage with a sprained right ankle. Epic Facepalm.
