Bleeding Green Nation Williams.... so far

261x_medium

via cache.daylife.com

I had to make this a Fan Post just because... Well because it needed to be done.

There was a lot of jawing back and forth this past off-season about the numbers that Roy E. Williams of the Cowboys would have this year.  (JIBTA swore he would be a stud)

After 4 games he has 11 catches for 214yrds. and 1 touchdown.

When divided down and multiplied by 16 he would average

44 catches for 856 yards and 4 touchdowns.

Hardly Elite.

I am soooo glad the Cowboys mortgaged thier future on this guy.

They even took him out at the end of the game yesterday.

...and to think we spent a 2nd on a little punk from a no name school....

Bleeding Green Nation Offensive Line Thread

As of today August 4th our offensive line was Herremans, Jean Gilles, Jackson, Cole, Justice.

Full squad workout this morning in pads. Trevor Laws, Victor Abiamiri, Macho Harris, and Matt Schoebel did not participate and worked on light conditioning drills. Jason Peters missed practice and was not on the field. Brian Westbrook and Shawn Andrews were also not present. Stacey Andrews was in full pads and participated except for during the live session.

Bleeding Green Nation NFL Network Eagles Pre Season Games

I stole this post from a guy at the EMB because I thought it would be helpful to those(like myself) outside of the Eagles Market area.  Last year I scoured every bar in my area till I could find one with a pre-season game.  Hard thing to do in Ravens country.

Now we get all of em'(With the NFL Network of course.) .

Mendenhall Gone Dunn On His Way
Posted by Coach Mike at 11:43 PM on June 11, 2009 comments (0)

Not my first choice but Michael Bush would have had to been an agressive trade. The 34 year old Dunn is however my #1 free agent choice & according to several reports. The former Tampa Bay/ Falcon R.B. is on his way to Philly to at least talk to the Birds. If this is true it would explain the release of Mendenhall & also throws a slight scare as to how the Eagles feel Westbrooks Surgery really went. He has more tread on his tires than the average 30 year old R.B. does & is the right guy despite his age. Type in Warrick Dunn Eagles for more info

I just got 45 yard line tix in row 15 of the lower level to this. Pretty cheap, I figured since I might not be able to make training camp this might be fun. Now I am not so sure if it was a good idea. I went to the kickoff party last year and was on the PE.com webpage pics which was cool. Oh well, I guess I just have buyers remorse cause its not a game.

Bleeding Green Nation Mike Zordich Returns to Philly

Zordich returns

The Eagles have hired former Eagles and Penn State safety Mike Zordich as a coaching intern to work with the defensive backfield. Zordich spent 12 seasons in the NFL, the last five with the Eagles, retiring after the 1998 season.

He returned to his hometown of Youngstown, Ohio where, for the last decade, he ran a business, coached at the high school level and raised his three sons before accepting a position at Youngstown State as a safeties coach in February.

Eagles coach Andy Reid learned that Zordich was interested in coaching and hired him in what appears to be an open-ended trial.

Bleeding Green Nation NFL Network Discussion...DJAX

Hey guys,

I was watching the NFL Network last night, and besides the interview with Andy they had regarding the benching incident, they ran a separate segment featuring the list of last years rookies they thought would NOT have a 2nd year slump, but get better.  Marshall Faulk was all about Jackson, he said that he is a born Football Player and he believed he would step it up this year.  Rich Eisen agrees too.  Heres to Hopin'!

It was just a nice little segment.  I think they like Felix Jones from the Cowgirls to have a good season too.  I don't care if he's a Cowpuke, he's unreal.  So good he ran right out of his Hamstring.  P.S.  Deion Sanders and Co. all picked Dallas to have no more than 8, count them 8 wins!!!!

Go EAGLES!

Bleeding Green Nation Cornelius Ingram Injury and Update thread.

I don't know too much right now but I assume that if you got the same text I did that you know he had a "left knee contusion" at practice today.  Well we all know what that means.  Now only if I knew which knee he had glued back together.

So if you hear or know anything beyond this please update me or others on this thread because PE.com is blocked by my crappy Web Filter at work.  Proxy Servers are blocked too so I am in the dark.

Lets all hope for the best...

Bleeding Green Nation A little off season fun....

News is slow, really slow.  I am scouring and refreshing every page I can just to look for new posts or comments.  I need to actually do some work, but that is besides the point.

I would like to hear from you guys what some of your favorite traditions are during the games or season, best memories or worst experiences.

Me personally......

I live in Columbia MD, just outside of Baltimore and am originally from the Reading area.  Down here my friends and I all get together at this big bar and account for half of the people there.  Eagles chants galore and it's a lot of fun.

This past year I was at the Landover Field game and after the team failed to show up and I spent one of the longest, coldest 3 hours ever being miserable, the pompus drunk Skins fans tried to fight me all the way down the concourse.  It took everything I had to not brawl.  It was only a 45 min drive home but it felt like forever.  To make it even sweeter, all the people I work with are Skins fans and I had bet one of them before the season even started on both of the games we lost to them.  Ugh, never betting with my heart again.

Either way, funny stories about dumping urinals with cowboys fans inside, traditions or just memories welcomed!
