Edwards left the game early with a knee injury, but it looks like he is going to be fine and will likely play against the Saints.

Great news.

Daily Norseman My 2009 Vikings Highlight Video

A little background info... A few weeks ago I started working on sort of a documentary of the Vikings 2009 season. I started with the signing of Brett Favre and put that together. In the mean time I was also working on a highlight video. I ended up just combining the two videos, which Windows Movie Maker somehow managed to mess up (You'll notice a distinct pause between the two... and for some reason I couldn't fix it).

Why am I posting this here? Well, after last weeks beat down by the Cardinals and the loss of EJ, the mood around here wasn't exactly cheery. I won't mention any names, but the pessimistic fans on here that made it seem like it was the end of the season after that loss just bug the living sh*t out of me. Seriously, cheer up... we are 10-2, well ahead in the NFC North and the second place Packers don't have a prayer of catching up to us.

2009 has been a great season so far. Out of all the years I've been a Vikings fan, this year is certainly at the top of my list of best seasons.

So now for your viewing pleasure... and please be kind (it's the first one I've put together)... a highlight video of the 2009 season, along with a cool intro on Brett Favre.

Make sure you click on the HQ button to watch the video in HD!!!

I hope this gets you pumped for Sunday!

If you watched the video, let me know what you think!

Daily Norseman FOX wants to nickname the Vikings defensive line

FOX was taking suggestions for a new nickname for the Vikings defensive line during the game.

If you watched the game on FOX, I'm sure you saw this. There were a couple times during the game where FOX was showing the most popular suggestions.

I'm curious to know what other fans think would make a good nickname. My brother and I both liked "Maul of America".

If anyone knows what FOX ended up picking as the most popular, please post a link in the comments. I tried searching for it on FOX's website but I couldn't find it.

UPDATE:

Thanks to Robert Rence for finding this. You can go vote here:

Daily Norseman Vikings Quarterback Poll

Pretend for a second that you are Brad Childress and you have to make a decision about what to do with your four Quarterbacks... What do you do?

Edit: Apparently I don't have 75 words in my post so I must add in random gibberish in order to meet the 75 word minimum to post.

Daily Norseman AccuScore predicts Vikings most likely team in NFC to make playoffs in '09

Obivously this will change throughout the season based upon injuries, win/loss, etc.... but I like our chances.

You'll notice that our opponents win % is significantly lower than most. Same goes for Packers and Bears... this is of course a courtesy of the Lions.
