2012 Houston Astros Season Preview; There but for the grace of god, go We...
Lets first take a moment and praise all of the baseball fans out there who are about to pour their very hearts out for this team. Keep the faith Houston fans, this is a truly daunting task to root for this squad through 162 games.
2012 will be the darkest hour for this franchise.
To Astros fans everywhere; I wish you better days in the American League.
Guess The Mystery Minor Leaguers Sweepstakes.
Two minor Leaguers have yet to named in the Marshall-Wood trade.
Two of our fine, young, innocent farm hards... are about to become chicken-fuckers.
NLDS Preview, A Planetary Perspective.
Wednesday 10/6. Oh My God We Are In The Freaking Playoffs!
The Moon is in Libra for this game, perfect for Paul Janish, Drew Stubbs, and Brandon Phillips. Interestingly, the Texas v. Tampa Bay Game will be played entirely while the Moon is in between signs; I would look for the two games to be complete opposites.
Jupiter will be casting doubt upon Sagittarians; Chris Heisey, Jimmy Rollins, and Chase Utley. Often people try to counter these feelings with that of over confidence. The Bullpen is not as Aquarian as it used to be, but still it worries me that Rookies Travis Wood and Logan Ondrusek have a yucky aspect in Uranus that peaks today.
Padres Series Preview, A Planetary Perspective.
Friday 9/24. Bring out the Ram.
Optimism can be contagious under the Aries Moon. However, be aware of hasty judgments (as with all things Aries). Expect Brandon Phillips to run out his ground balls tonight, and Aries Scott Rolen and Jay Bruce to be excited and confident.
There are no exact planetary aspects for today. This will be the third game this season like this; the last two were both against the Astros, Sundays 4-3 loss, and a 15-6 victory on 5/28.
Looking at early Saturday morning; there is a sign that Arroyo could strengthen as the game progresses, and Chapman could be an excellent late inning option.
Astros Series Preview, A Planetary Perspective.
Friday 9/17. Love your Leo.
The Position of the Moon in reference to the Sun today will bring favor to our young Leos this afternoon. Ryan Hanigan and Chris Valaika will be popular among their peers today, and perhaps will benefit elsewhere concerning family size or wealth. The Moon continues in Capricorn today.
Saturday 9/18. Your guess is as good as mine...
The Moon enters Aquarius this morning, giving rise to new ideas and improved sense of humor.
Mars and Venus are both for shit today. This could be trouble. Fully half of both teams are either Martian or Venusian, for these players it is a time of argument, misunderstanding, and conflict. I won't name all the players concerned (13 Reds and 12 Astros) It affects all of Scorpio, Aries, Taurus, and Libra.
Brewers Series Preview, A Planetary Perspective.
Monday 9/20. Stay focused, slacker.
The Moon enters Pisces today, and will remain for the entire series. This allows for self doubt and laziness. One should combat the temptation for day-dreaming and focus that energy on the love of work.
Neptune is in a serene position today, providing our fish with not a care in the world. According to my passive eye, Pisces Arroyo and Chapman have excelled when Neptune is in stress, here is to hoping the opposite is not also true.
Mars comes around as a positive aspect just after midnight. Expect a growing ability to lead and the usual strength that comes with the power of Mars. Scott Rolen, Jay Bruce, and Jonny Gomes are our most notable, power oriented Martians, and I imagine they will make good contact today.
Diamondbacks Series Preview, A Planetary Perspective.
Monday 9/13. The water bringer finds his faith.
Mercury is at a discomforting 90°. First the bad news; our hero Joey Votto may be suffering from communication difficulties and sleeplessness. His home life may be in disarray and there is a danger of scandal or theft. Now on to the good news, The Diamondbacks are stocked with Virgos; Mike Hampton, Carlos Rosa, John Hester, Ryan Roberts, Justin Upton, and Chris young. This aspect (which peaks thirty minutes prior to game time) is also known to cause digestive difficulties, especially for the Gemini, including; Nick Masset, Ramon Hernandez, and Dusty Baker.
Neptune is in a similarly crappy placement, relationships, expectations, and investments are all in peril. However, our two Pisces; Bronson Arroyo and Aroldis Chapman, have both shined under this aspect. I believe that they are both the type that takes discord in their lives and channels it into a superior performance; I expect the same from them today. D-back fish include; Daniel Hudson, Stephen Drew, and Kelly Johnson.
Intuition and planning will come easy to Aquarians today. A deepening faith will give then the confidence to succeed. Saturn brings balance, control, and peace, also; "one may count on the help and affection of an older friend". Reds Aquarians include; Johnny Cueto, Logan Ondrusek, Jordan Smith, Travis Wood, and D-Back Brandon Allen.
Rejuvenation of physical power and the sweet smile of Miss Fortune is on tap for our lone Sagittarian Chris Heisey. Some sources give this as the most positive aspect. Rodrigo Lopez, Jordan Norberto and Augie Ojeda are the D-back Sagittarians. The Moon also passes into Sagittarius today, bringing a love of adventure and sport, expect Brandon Phillips to be on his game for the next two days.
Pirates Series Preview, A Planetary Perspective.
Friday, 9/10. Balanced at the corners.
The Libra Moon should bring balance, and hopefully help settle the emotions and allow the guys to get back on track. I expect this to be most pronounced in The Libras (Janish, Stubbs, and both; Billy Hatcher and Mark Berry) and Cancers (Phillips, Francisco and Paul Maholm).
Neptune suggests inner harmony and creativity, peaking around midnight. I don't expect to see our Pisces pitchers in today's game, (Chapman, Arroyo) but they should be feeling good regardless (lone Pirate fish; Joe Martinez).
Saturday, 9/11. Triumph, Love, and Aggression.
Mercury reaches 60° this afternoon. Just in time for our hero Joey Votto. This aspect is associated with advancement in the workplace. His emotions could bubble over, but it will only go to further fuel his fury toward the opposition. Virgoian Pirates include; Andy LaRoche, Neil Walker and Brandon Moss.
Bats v. Bulls Series preview, A Planetary Perspective, Playoff Edition.

Wednesday 9/8. The Bats are strangely balanced.
As I wrote before, the new Moon can bring crisis and life changes in regards to personality and health. And the Moon being in Virgo is time for critical thinking and problem solving. These two facts will affect everyone, but it can be most acute for Leo's and Virgos respectively. Louisville Leo's include Zack Cozart and Sean Henry, Virgos; Joseph Krebs, Mike Costanzo, and Rick Sweet.
Venus enters Virgo today. This fact is interesting when we take a look at the Bats pitching staff; straight up 8 out 11 of the pitchers are Libra (that's weird). Libras create, desire, and need Balance. The Virgo-ian Venus should help these fellows communicate better, and approach their work in a professional and critical manner. I imagine this staff is helped by the fact both catchers are also air signs, Gemini Wilkin Castilo and Devin Mersoraco.
Rockies Series Preview, A Planetary Perspective.
Monday 9/6. Mars at 60°, Travel and succeed.
The Placement of Mars suggests this is a time of true courage, especially for the Scorpio and Aries. No better time for traveling on business. Energy, energy, energy... There is plenty of energy to go around. New projects are best started in the evening today. Notable Aries are Scott Rolen and Jay Bruce, Scorpios; Jonny Gomes and Arthur Rhodes. The Moon in Leo brings out a desire for intimacy, and a need for recognition.
Cardinals Series Preview, A Planetary Perspective.
Friday 9/3, Votto ends the MVP debate.
Mercury is in a favorable spot in reference to the Sun just in time for Joey Votto to be enjoying breakfast, imagine him happily munching his Wheaties® visualizing how he is about to crunch Cardinal pitching. Later in the day Mercury has a favorable aspect to the Moon, signaling prosperity and success for our hero.Joey could not be rolling better at a better time. Mercury also shines favorably for Gemini's Randy Winn, and Dusty Baker.
Aquarians Logan Ondrusek and Jordan Smith are in a precarious spot, both of their planets; Saturn and Uranus are in opposition. they may be worried more about their places in this world and not enough on the work at hand.
Others that will need to stick closely to their pregame routines are Sagitarians Chris Heisey and Aaron Miles, and Scorpio Jonny Gomes.
The Moon enters Cancer today; it tends to be the most fertile lunar phase.

Brewers Series Preview, A Planetary Perspective.
Monday 8/30, Joey, Joey, Joey...
The Planets just keep getting better for our hero Joey Votto; the placement of Mercury suggests that now is the most opportune time for dealing in business and especially with the press. Expect his attitude to be professional and upbeat, His constitution stable, and ability to reason sharp. Today's only aspect peaks a few hours prior to game time. The future is ever brighter for Joey as Venus and Mars will be in Virgo by mid September... Perfect. Other notable Virgos include Brewers Todd Coffey and Rickie Weeks, and Reds employees Rick Sweet and Mark Stefanski.
The Moon remains in Taurus today, "Steady as she goes" says the stubborn Bull.

Cubs Series Preview, A Planetary Perspective.
Friday 8/27, Saturn.
Saturn is on a very tricky angle (180°). This is serious business considering the Aquarian nature of the pitching staff, including today's projected starter Johnny Cueto. Life can be very hard under Saturn's thumb; depression, worry, and anxiety can all become a factor. "The Key to dealing with Saturn is discipline" this will be especially true for Cueto, if he worries too much about ‘getting back on track' instead of focusing on the moment, he will struggle. Of course Saturn is weird for the Cubbies too, backstops Soto and Hill, Alfonso Soriano, and Micah Hoffpauir will be in the same predicament.

Giants Series Preview, A Planetary Perspective.
8/23, Mars and Venus well placed, Virgo begins.
Mars is at 120° which is a very good thing for Jay Bruce, Scott Rolen, Mike Leake, Arthur Rhodes, Jonny Gomes, and Laynce Nix. For these players Monday is a time of great physical and emotional health. It is also a good time for material gain; perhaps Gomes finally has #100 coming his way.
Venus is also at a favorable delineation. Mondays ballgame bringing emotional balance and a sense of satisfaction to Drew Stubbs, Paul Janish, Francisco Cordero, Miguel Cairo. Today is good for a heightened sense of artistry; hopefully this bodes well for the continued good play of Janish and Cordero.
Volquez will hopefully benefit from the Moon being in Aquarius as Arroyo did yesterday. Aquarius rules the Ankles, and the nervous system. Expect unique play from Edinson Today (and possibly fellow Cancers Jim Edmonds, and Brandon Phillips).Today's aspects are also positive for Matt Cain.
Today is the first Day of Virgo. Expect good communication and excellent analysis from the teams only Virgo; Joey Votto. In the next 30 days Votto should be able to stay humble enough to make a real push toward the MVP.
The Giants are more Sun-and-Moon than Mars-and-Venus. The catching tandem of Posey and Whiteside should be strong; Cain and Burrell are ruled by Venus, and Bochy Mars.
