Kevin love owns you
"Love followed up his 51-point game with 30 points and 21 rebounds to lead the Timberwolves to a 117-100 victory over the Nuggets on Sunday."
So at what point can we say Kevin Love is good? I think it's pretty much official at this point.
Take Note Nolan Smith
The couch that Jeremy Linn slept on before he started schoolin fools. Maybe you should purchase it...
JD 9/20 - Who is afraid of the big bad wolf?
Pre-season is coming, but until then news is scant and hopes will be built up and DASHED before our very eyes like the prequel to Star Wars. Will the coaching staff shake-up yield offensive gains or did Cho just hire a bunch of Yes-men so Nate can run wild with running down the clock and chucking up a shot with 2 seconds left. Will Greg Oden's Knee ever heal? Will Joel Pryzbilla become a 30/20/10 (10 blocks that is) beast? Will B-Rex ever roam free? Will Rudy continue to eat cheese with his whine? Why did I pay to come to the Rose Garden to get hosed with $10 a beer price gouging?
and finally...
One small trade
This tiny trade, while having a minimal impact on our roster, comes with the greatest reward of all...
-12 wins.
2010-2011 Roster Predictions
The season is fast approaching...I say that because I'm about to step into a time machine so that I don't have to deal with this lackluster Portland summer waiting for the Blazer season to start. Sun, Hello?
Anyway, with the inevitable signing of Wesley Matthews and the possible loss of Patty "turnover" Mills and Rudy "whiny pants" Fernandez what are some possible scenario's for the Portland roster on starting day of training camp? Do people still hold out hope for CP3 or have they started taking their medication yet? Tony Parker? Devon Harris? Darius Miles? John Magic Nash Thomas? What's your wishlist and what is your best guest? Mine after the break.
Reality Check - Your Portland Trailblazers 2010-2011
What has happened to the optimism on this site? We've been mucking about in the sewage waters of glass-half full all last season. We only got 50 wins even though half our team was out with injuries. And the politics and he-said-she-said of the Tom Penn/KP/PA saga of epic weirdness. I get it, all right I GET IT.
But let's have a moment to reflect on your Portland Trailblazers for the year 2010-2011. As long as the genetically engineered robotic zombie apocalypse doesn't happen until 2012 I believe we have, gasp, with no trades at all, a very respectable team.
With all the talk of these "superteams" with lebron and wade and zombie john stockton what I see is a very bizarre chemistry experiment. The l*kers are probably still the biggest threat since Jackson came back. So after the Jump, I present the Blazersedge Nation to your 2010-2011 Portland Trailblazers...

Lakers Fans, redefining douchenozzle for 2010
Are all Lakers funs just drunken frat boys?
The 6 Most Statistically Full of dung Professions
#1 - sportswriter...who'd thunk?
Apparently a trailblazer came to my sons school today, but he isn't sure which one it was...anyone have any ideas. It is Rose City Marysville (yes, my sons school was the one that burned down recently). Anyway, I was just wondering...
Donaghy on 2000 Western Conference Finals.
The 2002 series certainly wasn't the first or last time Bavetta weighed in on an important game. He also worked Game 7 of the 2000 Western Conference Finals between the Lakers and the Trail Blazers. The Lakers were down by 13 at the start of the fourth quarter when Bavetta went to work. The Lakers outscored Portland 31–13 in the fourth quarter and went on to win the game and the series. It certainly didn't hurt the Lakers that they got to shoot 37 free throws compared to a paltry 16 for the Trail Blazers.
Oden ties Dwight Howard for rebounding
in the preseason. suck on that!
Blake and Outlaw are going NOWHERE
So you want to write another post about how we should trade Blake and/or Outlaw for some other PG or worthless jackass "banger 4/5" that will never get any minutes huh? Well guess what folks, it ain't going to happen.

Ron Artest has declared Psychological War on BEdgers
It's through the looking glass time now people, it's the conspiracy of all conspiracies. It's the 9/11 truthers wrapped inside the Obama Birthers and smothered in the sauce of the Illuminati Sex Factory located on the Dark Side of the Moon. And that amounts to one delicious enchilada of conspiracy.
I can't name names or Ben and Dave will both spank me simultaneously, but several of your beloved BEdgers postings are in fact coming from the fingers of one demented typist. And I have a sneaky suspicion that it is Ron Artest...

Where is the Love?
This is ridiculous. Is no one on this site even the slightest bit happy with KP's absolute steal in obtaining Juwan Howard for peanuts when he is still capable of producing? And now this Onion article. FOR SHAME Blazersedgers, FOR SHAME!
Earl Watson as a 3rd String anyone?
We could get Earl Watson as a 3rd string on the cheap if that midget guy with the broken foot is going to be out all season...
Question: How is Rubio an upgrade from Sergio? Untested (in NBA) and inconsistent in europe. High turnover rate. Can someone compare the two who knows? I don't see the advantage frankly.
Tracy McGrady seen in a Jiffy Lube on Powell Street
I don't know, but I saw a picture this guy had on his cellphone that totally looks like Tracy McGrady is sitting in this SWEET '81 Pinto all blinged out and on twenties and totally getting an oil change and this guy was all like, "and dude he said he was checking out Portland because he might be getting more oil changes here in the future!"
And you know what that means! Boy! Howdy! Yeah...

I don't know why...
How will you celebrate?
When we officially clinch the playoff berth how will you celebrate?
Maybe a special celebration will need to be in order if we somehow manage a fourth seed. But we will look at that when the need arise and the need is still off in the future of 75 words or so which includes a couple more of these so that it will in fact be that long.
But I digress from the above and the below and such.
Oden Swat
The O face....
First Unit/Second Unit
There has been a lot of talk of bayless / oden and whether they should be first or second string and where they are going to be in the future.
Well it makes since that our proven, consistent vetern starters should in fact start, and our next generation should be working together on the second unit so they can develop together and get ready to crush opposing teams in the coming years. In that spirit, here is the line up...
FIRST UNIT:
JOEL - C
LMA - PF
BATUM/MARTELL - SF
ROY - SG
BLAKE - PG
SECOND UNIT:
ODEN - C
TROUT - PF
TROUT/RUDY/BATUM - SF
RUDY - SG
BAYLESS - PG
SCRUBS:
FRYE - backup C or PF
SHAVILK - backup SF (oops....) backup PF
RUFFIN - backup towel boy
SERGIO - backup PG or SG, trading material
Once Martell is back then Batum should move to the second unit. Well, once martell is healthy which could be well into next season. Regardless, Batum should see decent backup minutes in a couple of positions, but once Martell is 100% he is our man for the first unit on SF. I'd like to keep Frye and Randolph because there are excellent players to play in case of injuries. Say what you want about Frye, he doesn't complain, is a team player and a good person.
Really what I want is Oden/Rudy/Bayless working together for the future...mmmmmm, delicious future....
OKC 5-1 w/o Durant
"The Thunder recently had a 5-1 stretch playing all six games without leading scorer Kevin Durant and with second-leading scorer Jeff Green missing four. Rookie point guard Russell Westbrook has done his share to pick up the slack during their absences, but Oklahoma City's unsung heroes were Nenad Krstic and Thabo Sefolosha ..."

Psssst....it's because he can't pass the ball....
Martell 24 pts in a quarter.
Durant is so AWESOME!
Wow, he really dominated Greg tonight, I don't know what those Greg lovin people are thinking. Durant is like Michael Jordan and Shaq rolled into one super robot of basketball death explosions!
He had a 1000 pts and 400 roebounds tonight. Wow, and he is still in his high school career.
Oden had 37 fouls and slipped on banana peel. He is so uncool. Huge game dominating centers are so abundant in this league, what we really need is someone who is almost as good as Martell Webster.
Boy, if only we had got him instead we could have OKC's record. That would be awesome!
