Brittney Palmer on the cover of Fitness Gurls (Pic)
Former UFC and WEC Octagon girl Brittney Palmer is now a Fitness Gurl, getting covered by the men's magazine for October 2011.
Says the mag:
Fitness Gurls Magazine covers health, fitness, nutrition, exercise routines and showcases some of the most beautiful women in the world of fitness and sports.
Anyone checking this one out? Or has that ship already sailed?
Renzo and Ralph Gracie's niece Kyra Gracie is the one woman in the fighting family to train and compete in the sweet art. The five-time world champion reveals to Extra that she would rather train with men in order to increase her force. "It helps me in the time to finish the bout while competing with women of my category." Would you like to be caught in her triangle choke, Maniacs?
Anderson Silva in "Karate Kid" style
Props: Extra
Burger King, Corinthians, Nike and a great mood!
Anderson Silva is ready, maniacs, does anyone here believes Yushin Okami has a chance versus "The Spider"? Be honest, please, guys, and post your prediction for UFC 134 "Rio" main event. Mine is Silva by first round KO.
Chael Sonnen gets flagged by Brazilian reporter for talking smack about Anderson Silva (Video)

Chael Sonnen: "Brazilian heroes abandoned Brazil"
Chael Sonnen was interviewed by RedeTV! and you can follow a sample of the stuff below translated by Fighters Only:
"I wish to fight with several Brazilian fighters. Not against the fighters who are concerned about Brazil, but with the fighters who abandoned Brazil, such Wanderlei Silva for example," Sonnen will tell the Brazilian nation. He says he is Brazilian but lives in a private condominium in Las Vegas. He left you, [Brazil,] abandoned you and now lives in the United States. Anderson Silva loves to praise Brazil but he spent two million dollars on a mansion in Los Angeles. I feel for the Brazilians because their heroes left them."
According to "Twitter World Champion" [LOL] you can't afford your money no where but in your own country. Actually, he is trying to make the population go against "The Spider" at UFC 134, on August 27, when his mate Yushin Okami challenges Anderson Silva for the middleweight belt. I don't see any other reason for this unfortunate comment, what about you, maniacs?
Middleweight champion Anderson Silva has been training very hard to defend his belt at UFC 134 with high-profiles like Rodrigo Nogueira, Antonio Bigfoot and Junior dos Santos. Before "The Spider" heads to Team Nogueira facility in Rio de Janeiro, he meets coach Ramon Lemos for a warm-up dance. Would you like to tango with Silva?
Vitor Belfort arrived in Brazil today. "The Phenom" is the guest comentator for UFC 134 "Rio" at RedeTV! and was invited to be the godfather of Brazilian beach soccer team.
"It's my contribution to popularize the sport. The UFC makes part of my life and for this reason I think it is important to work for event inside or outside the Octagon" he told Globo.com. See more pics here.
UFC Quick Pic: Arianny Celeste is not a dumb bimbo
That's a common misconception according to the UFC Octagon Girl (via MadeMan):
"The biggest misconception is that we’re all dumb bimbos. In reality, we’re all smart. I’m very smart. I’ve managed to get other gigs and make a nice living out of this platform of being a UFC girl."
Is Arianny getting overlooked for her brains because of her assets? Or is it her line of work?
FabrÃcio Werdum lands brutal low kick. Does it work as an alarm to Alistair Overeem?
Murilo "Ninja" Rua is done being MMA fighter
From his Twitter after BAMMA6 loss:
I would like to announce officially my retirement from PRO MMA fights tonight. It was an amazing run, and its a very tough momentWill ya miss him maniacs? Thanks for all exciting fights, "Ninja".
Former UFC middleweight fighters Thales Leites and Jeremy Horn face off at Superior challenge "Rise of Champions" on April 30.
M1-Global Perfection
I don't know why you hate M-1 Global, maniacs!
Okay, I expect comments like "how about her face?" but as a matter of fact, who cares? Just enjoy the picture and begin to give some credit to M-1 Global, at least a lovable organization. (Female Russian asses are acceptable to colour this thread). Let's attack!
Wanderlei Silva explains 'terrible' picture featuring Shogun bromance
If you thought the above picture of two sweaty Brazilians embracing during jiu-jitsu practice was "terrible," imagine how poor Wanderlei Silva feels.
"The Axe Murderer" has been featured in one of the Internet's most infamous demotivational posters, featuring the former PRIDE stars sharing a tender moment in the gym. But as the poster indicates, unless eye contact is made, we should assume nothing.
Of course Wanderlei, when confronted, has no recollection of his alleged bromance with Mauricio Rua and insists there's some trick photography at play.
Or is there?
Silva tries to explain himself in a recent interview with HDNet, but does he fold under the pressure? Or has he convinced you the origin of the "terrible" picture is not genuine?
Watch and find out after the jump:
No excuses: Shogun to get back to work and 'do it again' after UFC 128 loss to Jon Jones
For fans of Mauricio Rua, Saturday night's loss to Jon Jones in the main event of UFC 128 in Newark, NJ, was a bitter pill to swallow.
But we've been here before.
"Shogun" made his first appearance inside the Octagon against Forrest Griffin back in September 2007, fresh of a knockout win over Alistair Overeem at PRIDE 33. And despite all the hype surrounding his UFC debut, the Brazilian went belly up (or belly down in this case) and got choked out by the former "Ultimate Fighter."
Those kinds of things can happen when you compete with a bum knee and a rusty tank.
His technical knockout loss to "Bones" on March 19 came after surgery to repair his oft-injured knee (and a knockout of former division champion Lyoto Machida). But Rua refused to make any excuses for his debut loss and the Shogun camp won't make any this time either.
All things considered, there are a lot of parallels between the Griffin defeat and his loss to Jones. So does that mean he'll be back to form in his next appearance?
Manager Eduardo Alonso certainly thinks so in his post on PVT:
Nate Marquardt gets lip service from Dan Miller at UFC 128 on March 19 in Newark.
"Here I am getting stitches inside my lip after the fight. I got punched with my mouth open and my bottom teeth went into my lower lip."

This is who Brock Lesnar is, guys!
Anderson Silva's agent makes clear superfight versus Georges Saint Pierre is up to the welterweight champion
"Anderson has proven he's the best fighter and he handles it quite good. It's a complicated fight for GSP… it's a pretty bad fight for him. Anderson has this biotype, he loses weight easily, he can make any weight, so I believe a catchweight [bout] would be perfect for GSP, and Anderson wouldn't have problems with that. Actually who would have a problem would be Saint Pierre because Anderson can lose that weight easily and, at the day of the fight, he'd be on his usual weight, so I believe it's complicated for Georges St-Pierre."
According to Jorge Guimaraes, Spider's manager, Anderson Silva is prepared to fight Georges Saint Pierre at a catchweight. This is an awesome statement since the welterweight champion has claimed about the size difference between the contenders and left the bout in doubt to happen in the future. Guimaraes made it clear the superfight is up to the Canadian hero - that has ever gone up to middleweight division to test himself - while Anderson has beaten up James Irvin and Forrest Griffin the two times he surfed on light heavyweight waves. What comes from St-Pierre now: an affirmative answer to face Silva or something like, "I'm focused on my next challenge versus Jake Shields"? Sound off.
Yoshihiro Akiyama shares the view of his adopted hometown of Japan, which was recently ravaged by a killer earthquake-tsunami combination. "Sexy" -- who had to withdraw from his UFC 128 fight with Nate Marquardt this weekend because of the tragedy -- and his family members are safe for now.
Playing the heel: 'Toquinho' doesn't train the hook, it just comes naturally
Quoteworthy:
“I’ll tell you something, I don’t train the heel-hook that much, it comes naturally to me. Every time I’m fighting, my opponents try to hide their feet, they play on the defense, so I had to learn to catch what I could at the time.”
Muscular middleweight menace Rousimar Palhares, who bounced back from an embarrassing loss to Nate Marquardt late last year, talks about the feared leg lock submissions that have ended fifty-percent of his fights, including his March 3 tap out of Dave Branch at UFC on Versus 3 from the KFC Yum! Center in Louisville, Kentucky. "Toquinho" didn't get "Submission of the Night" thanks to Brian Bowles bizarre case of Deja Vu and the Brazilian admits to barely even training the hold. What kind of damage could we expect if he did? Is there anyone in the division who can roll with Palhares and survive? Opinions, please.

Poll: Who's next for Michael Bisping?
Everybody wants to face him!
Middleweight champion Anderson Silva recently welcomed a bout versus Michael "Spit" Bisping and the "Spider" was followed by top contenders Vitor Belfort - who shared his desire on Twitter - and Chael Sonnen, who texted UFC matchmaker Joe Silva to say he is interested to fight British prospect. What match-up makes more sense for you? Can Mike beat any of them?
Vitor Belfort vs Michael Bisping fight in May?
That's what "The Phenom" suggests via Twitter.com:

It's time for a little fantasy matchmaking. How do you see this fight panning out (if it was ever booked, of course) -- Would Michael Bisping pick apart Vitor Belfort and earn a title shot once and for all or would he get Hendo'd? Let's pretend, maniacs.

UFC 128: Eliot Marshall returns to face Luiz Cane with Karlos Vemola hurt
That's according to our amigos at Tatame, who today bring word of Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 8 veteran Eliot Marshall getting another crack at Octagon stardom at UFC 128 as a late replacement against Luiz Cane for the injured Karlos Vemola.
"Shogun vs. Jones" takes place on March 19 live on pay-per-view from the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.
Marshall cut his teeth in the ‘Ring of Fire’ promotion before making his debut on the eighth season of TUF. He would eventually fall to division winner Ryan Bader in the semifinals, but bounced back at the season finale with a submission victory over castmate Jules Bruchez.
UFC shocked fans when they put "The Fire" out after a split decision loss to Vladimir Matyushenko at UFC on Versus 1 back in March 2010. It was the Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt's first loss inside the Octagon and at the time he seemed to be in good graces after consecutive wins over Vinny Magalhaes and Jason Brilz.
Perhaps the promotion reconsidered its hasty decision to release him, or maybe his 3-0 record after getting cut was all the convincing it needed.
But will he be one and done on March 19?
Just to show how much muscle Alistair Overeem has put on. Think he will win the Strikeforce heavyweight grand prix. What about you?
UFC welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre cozies up to Strikeforce heavyweight champion Alistair Overeem at "Fedor vs. Silva" on Feb. 12 in New Jersey.

UFC Quick Quote: Shogun Rua reaffirms he would fight Anderson Silva
"Now I'm focused on Jon Jones. It's a sin to speak about my next fight when I'm thinking about a man like Jon Jones. So I'm focused on him, but I already answered. It's obvious I'd fight Anderson. I respect him as a friend and professional, but I also am a professional. Yes, I'd fight him."
-- Maybe that fight between Anderson Silva and Vitor Belfort at UFC 126 wasn't the biggest Brazilian brawl after all. UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Mauricio "Shogun" Rua tells Tatame (video interview in Portuguese) that he would throwdown with his fellow countryman if their paths ever crossed inside the Octagon. Shogun currently has his hands very full, however, taking on 205-pound phenom Jon Jones in the UFC 128 main event next month in New Jersey. And even though he's the current division champion, as well as holds remarkably more experience against stiffer competition, the early oddsmakers favor "Bones" to usurp the light heavyweight champion's 205-pound crown. Silva, meanwhile, is patiently waiting to see if Georges St. Pierre can dispatch of Jake Shields at UFC 129 in Toronto on April 30. If "Rush" wins, he'll likely move up to middleweight and battle Silva in a legacy-building superfight. Shogun vs. Silva, therefore, is a long shot to happen anytime soon. But it must be nice for Dana White and Co. to have so many fantastic fights at their fingertips. Yushin who?
Fedor Emelianenko's camp at Stary Oskol
Just a few action but it's cool to see images from the gym at his homeland.
Personally, I wait for a war. Bigfoot has been training harder than ever and the Russian... he is Fedor. That's all.
