Lots of time and resources will be soon wasted on reasons and excuses for our playoff push collapse.  I have taken the liberty to compile a few.

Our tux didn't come back from the cleaners.

We ran out of gas.

We didn't have cab fare.

Someone stole our cars.

Old friends came in from out of town.

We had flat tires.

There was an earthquake.

There was a terrible flood.

Locusts.

It wasn't our fault, we swear to God!

Ignoring the fact that D. Lee is hitting like a backup SS at AAA (.646 OPS since joining ATL), did he bring the curse of the Billy Goat with him from the Cubbies?

I really liked him when he was with the Cubs, but now, not so much.

I would much rather see Freeman out there at 1B, at least he would be getting OJT for next season.  I hope we're not entertaining the thought of bringing Lee back next year.

The talk of Boog leaving the Braves started me thinking about Pete, Ernie and Skip.  I always appreciated Ernie's comments.  He could call a spade a spade without being too hard on the Braves, unlike other former players like Tim McCarver.  I started listening to Ernie and Milo Hamilton back in the early 70s on the radio.  I've never written a fan letter in my life, but I would like to write him to let him know how much I appreciated all those hours of listening to him.  Does anyone have any idea about how to contact him?
