Dickie V: Always respectable
From the article Dick Vitale wrote on ESPN about Coach Cal getting a title. "Think about what he did at Massachusetts and Memphis. I don't care about those results being vacated." I don't understand (or more sadly I completely understand) how he still is employed at a major network like ESPN.
NCAA 12 Rosters (XBox 360)

Went and bought NCAA 12 yesterday (it's pretty awesome so far). When I bought it, the Gamestop employee told me that he had every player name and coach name correctly in the game. The game has a feature in the main menus called Roster Share (or something to that extent). I can't imagine he cares since he gave it out, so if you put the name Fetzer614 into the field, it will download all roster names. You don't have to add him as a friend or anything like that. It's pretty awesome to have all the names programmed in!

I'm a bit surprised because he seemed to get more playing time as the pre-season advanced. We'll see where he goes from here

Penalty Shots

I have always wondered why teams don't get a power play after a penalty shot....especially one that is missed. Seems like the situation calls for the shot to be an extra bonus. I think teams should at least get to pick between power play and the shot, if not get a power play of some length (I've heard ideas about having a 1 minute power play) afterwards. Anyone know why this is?

With the Hawks possibly looking for that key 6th D-man and Brenden Shannahan sitting out on the market...any chance the Hawks look to grab him with a loaner, one year contract? Could be a good experienced guy to look after the young talent the Hawks have. I'm thinking that it will help the Hawks young core and at the same time not hinder the salary cap issues for the next offseason (which I won't bother going into right now)
