Great Story on Greivis Vásquez

An article that chronicles the life path of the Kings newest guard. Offers some perspective, and is a decent read.

Well, that didn't take long: with Atlanta GM Danny Ferry in his first day on the job, the message is spreading that he'll be looking to shake up the Hawks' roster and rebuild in some capacity. No specifics yet, but forward Josh Smith has tremendous value and an expiring contract (next season at $13.2 million), center Al Horford will be healthy again and is an attractive piece as well (four years, $48 million remaining) and shooting guard Joe Johnson has the sort of deal that any sane GM would try - and likely try in vain - to get rid of (four years and $89.3 million left).

From the one and only Sam Amick. Wonder what the price for Horford/Smith would be.

Martin Struggling for the Rockets

4

Not really Kings related, but just an interesting development this season for Martin. I found this interesting because he seems to be playing like he did the 2-3 weeks with the Kings before he was traded. Don't know about how legit this source is though.

Kings Frontrunner to sign Hayes

To a lucrative 1 yr deal? I wouldn't be against saving cap space for next summer, but do we need to spend what we have this way?

Brandon Roy expected to be "Amnesty-ed"

1

Well, if this is true then the Kings have a real shot at Roy. Of course, that depends on how the amnesty-bidding works.

Spurs fielding trade calls for Parker

Kings are mentioned as a possible destination. Looks like they want to move up the draft.

"But that's half the story. The other half is the Maloofs, who are getting more involved in the Kings' front office. I'm told they are the ones who are pushing hard for Jimmer and they may get their way."

Chad Ford, on why he is a tool. Insider

Brandon Roy Might be Asked to Retire

If there is any merit to this, then there is no doubt he is available through trade. Should the Kings try to make a deal?

Pre-Draft Measurements Released

Per Draftexpress. One interesting note, Kyrie Irving is taller than Brandon Knight.

Boston has agreed to send Nate Robinson and K. Perkins to Oklahoma City in exchange for Jeff Green and other pieces, source says.

http://twitter.com/#!/sam_amick/status/40862521501945856 I'm trying to convince myself why the Kings wouldn't try to swing Dalembert here, as he is a better, bigger, healthier player...ah well

KAAAAAAHN!!!!

Good news, its about Kahn's thoughts on Darko...

Bobcats looking for Change

Amick on what's on the table for Jordan...and what it looks like the Bobcats are looking for is screaming Dalembert/Landry package...

Jerry Reynolds on Rise Guys

Everything from Thompson being the best player on the floor in practice, to Rubio, to Darko, to an STR shout out and asking for help with nicknames.

Tyreke, responding to Shaq

OKC to waive Weaver

I would be very surprised if the kings don't at least express interest. Good call by haze0945.

Jerry Reynolds talks about Summer League

He touches on everything from Cousins to Adam Morrison, and talks a little Webber-Kahn...

Matthews signs 5 Year $34 Million(!) deal with Blazers

36

It will be interesting to see if Utah matches. This is a little ridiculous, especially considering the players on the Blazers roster.

Brendan Haywood Signs with the Mavs for....

$55 Million, 6 years. Shocked. But not really. Somewhere, Diop is laughing.

Ryan Thompson to play for Kings Summer League

4

He is also playing for the Celtics...I'd be surprised if he is signed to the roster

DeMarcus Cousins on Outside the Lines

For people that didn't feel like waking up at 6am. Great, great little segment...solidifies that John Thompson is one of the coolest guys in the world.

Is Dalembert getting worse?

Through all the hoopla involving the trade for Samuel Dalembert, there have been both positive and negative things said about him. He is a good defender. He's athletic. He's stupid. He can rebound....

Jerry Reynolds talks about the Draft

This was talked about in depth on a thread. There is a lot of good stuff as always with Jerry, for those of you that missed in on Sportsline.

Hearing Cousins won't work out in Minnesota. Apparently they have their mind made up on Wes Johnson. Jives w/everything else we're hearing.

Kevin Love for Anthony Randolph?

40

Via Draftexpress twitter....the fact that Giovony heard of it means there must be something to this deal, since he really just covers the draft. I know this isn't necessarily Kings related, but there was discussion about the Warriors leapfrogging the Kings in the draft using Randolph. This would change things. If this trade goes down, it would be yet another blunder by Kahn.

Watch any game from the NCAA Tournament

7

I posted this on a thread earlier, but thought I'd let everyone else know. This website has all the games that were played in the Tournament, which is good for seeing at least a game in how some players look in actual games. Players like Johnson, Favors, Aminu, Monroe, the entire Kentucky roster, and just about every other player of interest.

Orton and Whiteside workout

"[Hilton] Armstrong beat them 5-0-0, showing that the young bucks still have a ways to go. They just could not score on Armstrong or against each other, while Armstrong used his strength, experience and savvy to find ways to score on them." Good article.... sometimes we forget truly how bad some of these project players are....
