"Ben Askren: Gonna roll with Marcelo Garcia tomorrow in NYC it shoudl be awesome. Posted on Tuesday at 10:47pm — May 11th, 2010 Jordan Blevins: Holy crap! Awesome indeed. I can't wait to see/hear more about this. Good luck man. Protect yo neck! Posted Yesterday at 12:54am — May 12th, 2010 Ben Askren: Wow that was humbling, at one point Marcelo had both my arms trapped behind my back with both his legs, then proceeded to use both hands against my face to get the rear naked. So apparently, Coleko (former BE conspiracy theorist) is enjoying his exile to Sherdog and is whining up a storm. "Got permanently banned from Bloody elbow for this comment: I responded to a Tito/Jenna story with the following: Finally Tito gets a W... but on a serious not I hope that the kids were not subjected to anything, with both of there sketchy pasts I bet they had a lot of bad stuff to say. Most MMA media/MMA websites have become the internet equivalent of the white kid that screams how his best friend is black when he is accused of being racist. So eager and insecure about the sport they call their own that any chance you have to show how "anti-savage" they are they jump on it. If you want a laugh go over and see the mods jumping up on their high horses for Jenna, with the chief editor of the site telling anyone who made made a joke about her should jump in front of a bus. My personal fav Big Ben HL. Watching it over again, it makes me think 2 things about Crocop: 1- If Mirko turns in a performance like he has lately, Northstar is gonna eat him for breakfast, and 2- If training with Hyppolite has actually rejuvenated Mirko, and even made him half the dynamo he was in the '06 OWGP, then he's going to shitkick Ben.

Sean Sherk out of UFC on Versus fight with Clay Guida: "Sean Sherk has turned down a proposed lightweight bout against Clay Guida for UFC’s debut on Versus on March 21 at the Odeum Colorado in Broomfield, Colo." "Monte Cox, Sherk’s manager, told Sherdog.com on Friday that the Minnesotan wrestler had been offered the bout, but couldn’t accept it due to a lingering injury." "Sherk was forced to pull out of a Jan. 2 bout against Jim Miller at UFC 108 when he cut his forehead three weeks out from the event and needed multiple stitches... Sherk also bowed out of a bout against Gleison Tibau at UFC 104 last October when he suffered a "Grade II AC separation" in his right shoulder while rolling with a training partner." Via Sherdog: "Antonio Rogerio Nogueira and Brandon Vera will meet in a light heavyweight contest at UFC 109 on Feb. 6 in Las Vegas" Intrerestingly enough, it seems that the 2 have trained together in the past, quite a bit: "Both Nogueria and his brother have trained with Vera at his Alliance MMA Training Center in Chula Vista, Calif. Most recently, Nogueria spent three weeks with Vera in preparation for his Cane bout. The Brazilian brothers had planned to spend a part of both their next training camps again with Vera and his team prior to this matchup, said Alliance coach Eric DelFierro. DelFierro said he was unsure how the new matchup would affect those schedules." Great fight. It will be interesting to see how the studied boxing of Rogerio will match up with the blistering Muay Thai skills of Vera.

In this article on USA today, Dana gave an update on Brock's medical situation: " UFC President Dana White said Monday that heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar is recovering from a bacterial infection in his intestinal tract... He's in stable condition and should be released soon," UFC President Dana White said." However, Brock isn't out of the woods yet, according to Dana: "White said he is encouraging Lesnar to check into the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn., for further treatment. He also said he did not know if the 32-year-old South Dakota native will fight again." "It depends on how serious this is," White said... Bismarck's St. Alexius hospital said Lesnar was not a patient there. The other hospital in the city, Medcenter One, would not confirm or deny he was there." Here's to hoping Brock makes a speedy, full recovery. It would be a shame to see someone with so much obvious natural talent not fulfill his potential. It would be a disservice to the sport of MMA.
