How do we get Chambers locked up for the future?

Since Chambers has arrived here this has been a different team, maybe it was the exit of 2.7. I am all for locking him up for a couple of years if we can, isn't next year due to be uncapped? Does this mean if we get him signed to an extension, and another team offers him more, he can walk? I am not a big stats person, but him, and Charles seem to be the ones to make this team go, I would like to see him stay. If we upgrade the o-line this season, get a new d-coordinator, this could be a dangerous team. We still need some more playmakers on defense, but I think we get the offense going, this defense as it stands could get us some key stops with a new coordinator. Todd is finding his way as a HC, I think he will do nothing but get better over time, anyways who thinks we should try to get Chambers locked up soon? Hey guys, we beat a good football team! Iam saying it now, Chambers has a big game at SD, and we make it three in a row! We will finish 7-9!! Go Chiefs!!

Remember us discussing Romeo Crennel in the offseason, right after Mangini got the Browns job? Is there still that possibility in 2010? Obviously we do not have the most talent on the defensive side of the ball right now, but could a better DC cover up some of that with scheming? In the Vermiel years we had talent on the offensive side of the ball, but not at every position, the scheme made it hard for defenses to plan for us. Can the same be said on the defensive side of the ball? I have been thinking lately the Pendergast is just a stopgap until the one that Pioli wants is available, what do you all think?

It may just be me, but it seemed that when Goff went out, we got more push, and protection with Alleman in there. Goff was part of a no standing wanna be block that could of cost us the game. The real weakness in our line seems to be in the middle between Niswanger, and Goff, could be both guys though. Niswanger is also very suspect as a center. We are not quite halfway through the season, would it really hurt to shake up the middle of our o-line? Next, why in the heck is Larry get blown on fall down Johnson still there? He has no life left in him, Mr smokealot down in Miami still runs hard, he is older than LJ why won't LJ still run hard? Just a few questions fellas, soryy if this has been hashed out over, and over again.

If Jackie Battle continues to run, and finish runs the way he did last night should he be our number one back? In my opinion he out played LJ, yes I know LJ was in in limited action, but Battle ran much harder than LJ. One play that sticks out in my mind is when Battle, and the Texans d-lineman collided behind the line of scrimmage, Battle could have given up on the play, and not taken much abuse, but instead delivered the hit that left the lineman wondering where he was. I may be a bit biased here as I do not support, or like LJ he has bullshitted this org one too many times, all we have heard is that LJ has done what is asked of him, but I did not see that same authority he used to run with, in my book same LJ just a matter of time til it shines through. It is early, but my support is behind " The Battleship" as the number one back.

Curry or OT?

I am of the opinion we should go OT in the draft, I do not think we have what we need upfront yet for Curry to make the impact an offensive tackle would make. With all the transition this team is going through at this time, whomever we select needs to make an immediate impact. The only other scenario would be for us to trade down, this has beengone over a lot, I will not include that here. My reasoning against Curry is that if we do not have the guys up front to (protect) him he will not be effective. We all know the need for help on the o-line, Sacintosh is gonna get Cassel killed. So I think we get more of an imediate impact from a tackle. PT, if you wanted to attach a poll to this it would be cool.
