Predicting injury "Prone-ness"

1

There was a mini discussion in one of the Front Page threads over the last week about if a player (Avery Bradley I believe) could be labeled as "Injury prone" and if that should be taken into account when thinking about re-signing that player. This article attempts to show how different types of injury can be more or less predictive of future injury. It's about Ellsbury and Baseball but I think the assumptions are transferable to all sports.

SI On Second Round picks over the last decade

+

I found this paragraph interesting. Indeed, of the 76 players who have made an All-Star team between 2005 and 2014, only eight were second-round picks (Ginobili, Millsap, Gasol, Carlos Boozer, Mo Williams, Rashard Lewis, Gilbert Arenas and Mehmet Okur). One other All-Star (Ben Wallace) went undrafted. Who made up the rest of the All-Stars? A jaw-dropping 53 lottery picks and 14 non-lottery first-round selections. To underline this point, Lakers guard Kobe Bryant has more All-Star Game selections over the last decade (10) than all currently-active second-round picks combined (Ginobili, Millsap, Gasol, Boozer, Williams and Lewis combine for 9). So when I read about questions of the worth of high draft picks, I'll keep this in mind....though not all High draft picks pan out, the odds are, a player who makes a difference was one.

Congrats to Gerald Wallace

He's made the Simmons worst contract list!!!!!! No Spoilers where he came in.........

Rodman & Familier names to play North Korean exhibition game

1

The idea of Rodman, Mrs Christie & Vin Baker in North Korea together is chuckle worthy....if they make it out alive. Rodman leads a team that includes former NBA All-Stars Kenny Anderson, Cliff Robinson, and Vin Baker. Craig Hodges, Doug Christie and Charles D. Smith are on the team, as well. They will play against a top North Korean Senior National team on Jan. 8, marking Kim Jong Un's birthday.

Just how good is Avery Bradley on defense?

Looking into Avery Bradley's relative value.
