Commented on CC's Mock Draft Open Thread: Week 5 - "Tough Decisions Build Franchises" on Apr 23 2014, 10:47p
I've liked some of the late round UDFA types they've been sniffing around this year.

Yep, Ridge Wilson looked decent last preseason as well.

Here's my mock using your San Fran trade compensation:

If you're drafting a guard in the first he better be a dominant player.
Commented on Could the Chiefs draft an offensive tackle? on Apr 22 2014, 9:38p
Also for what it's worth I feel a similar way about WR in the first.
Commented on Could the Chiefs draft an offensive tackle? on Apr 22 2014, 6:39p
1st round is hardly a guarantee either. This is how many straight years of so and so being the best Guard prospect since Steve Hutchinson

If we get some quality pass rush depth I'd love to see us put together more of a psycho package with multiple pass rushers as well.
Commented on NFL Draft 2014: Chiefs check out UTEP DE/OLB James Davidson on Apr 22 2014, 6:16p
Hali has an annoying tendency to go for the strip rather than taking the sure-thing sack.
Commented on NFL Draft 2014: Chiefs check out UTEP DE/OLB James Davidson on Apr 22 2014, 6:12p
Are we sure he's not a WR prospect?

Something's not adding up here...
Commented on Kansas City Chiefs linked to another basketball player on Apr 18 2014, 6:30p
If I were an NFL GM I would be looking at a lot of ex-basketball guys for developmental prospects.

Percy Harvin as well...
Commented on A look at wide receiver in the first 86 picks of the 2014 NFL Draft on Apr 17 2014, 7:55p
I'd argue the opposite...
Commented on 2014 NFL Draft: Chiefs work out pair of defensive ends on Apr 17 2014, 6:49p
They also aren't currently training for that scenario...
Commented on 2014 NFL Draft: Chiefs work out pair of defensive ends on Apr 17 2014, 6:41p
It's true that most former basketball guys come in lacking in physicality department
Commented on 2014 NFL Draft: Chiefs work out pair of defensive ends on Apr 17 2014, 6:30p - 1 reply
It's logical for them to go NBA over NFL if given the option.
Commented on 2014 NFL Draft: Chiefs work out pair of defensive ends on Apr 17 2014, 6:26p - 1 reply
Plus on a facility visit you can't actually work the player out.
Commented on 2014 NFL Draft: Chiefs work out pair of defensive ends on Apr 17 2014, 6:16p
I doubt access to tape is an issue for pro scouting departments...

If you get a Herschel Walker deal sure, but I don't think your ever going to see a trade that lopsided again.
Commented on NFL Draft 2014: Would you rather have a 1st or a 2nd and a 3rd? on Apr 15 2014, 8:57p
The ironic thing about your statement is that the 3rd round pick used on Houston was obtained by trading back in the 1st round...
Commented on NFL Draft 2014: Would you rather have a 1st or a 2nd and a 3rd? on Apr 15 2014, 8:41p
That's certainly the oft-repeated logic, but far too much of a generalization.
Commented on NFL Draft 2014: Would you rather have a 1st or a 2nd and a 3rd? on Apr 15 2014, 8:39p - 1 reply
I feel more comfortable with Beckham making the transition to the pro's.

It's still a hand time.

Jamaal is in a league of his own when it comes to fluidity.
Commented on NFL Draft 2014: KC Chiefs meet with Louisville RB Senorise Perry on Apr 12 2014, 7:16p
Since you can't work them out it makes sense.
Commented on NFL Draft 2014: Kansas City Chiefs meet with OT Garrett Scott on Apr 12 2014, 7:12p
I think Clowney's character stuff is getting somewhat overblown....
Commented on NFL Draft 2014: KC Chiefs meet with Louisville RB Senorise Perry on Apr 11 2014, 10:29p
Lee's hands worry me, he body catches too often for my liking.
Commented on 2014 Chiefs Mock Draft on Apr 8 2014, 3:19a
That's why I would take a higher upside guy like Hageman
Commented on CC's Mock Draft Open Thread: Week 2 - "The Trade" on Apr 4 2014, 6:00p
There have been some very good outside linebackers who were shorter than the prototype.
Commented on 2014 NFL Draft: OLB prospect Derrell Johnson will work out for Chiefs on Apr 3 2014, 11:09p - 1 reply
I know, I was meant it as questioning the idea that Richardson had the arthritic knees.
Commented on CC's Mock Draft Open Thread: Week 2 - "The Trade" on Apr 2 2014, 11:08p - 1 reply
Still my preference as well.

Richardson?
Commented on CC's Mock Draft Open Thread: Week 2 - "The Trade" on Apr 2 2014, 6:40p - 1 reply
It's pretty typical for the ROLB in a 3-4 to be a pass rush specialist...
Commented on 2014 NFL Draft: OLB prospect Derrell Johnson will work out for Chiefs on Apr 2 2014, 4:56p
Seems like we're using a lot of visits on small school guys this year...

I agree if Jackson and Reid were both absolutely dead set on a reunion, it would have happened already.
Commented on Terez Paylor on the Chiefs and DeSean Jackson on Mar 31 2014, 7:18p - 1 reply
Personally I think it's probably a deal where KC has given Jackson and his agent their number and are just waiting to see what the market brings.
Commented on Terez Paylor on the Chiefs and DeSean Jackson on Mar 31 2014, 6:24p
That would be my guess as well.

Damn, that's a shame for him...

The advantage we have that no one else does is that he know exactly how Jackson and our coach will interact.
Commented on Tracking the DeSean Jackson and Chiefs rumors (Saturday edition) on Mar 29 2014, 5:37p
Is it just me or does this report pretty much contradict itself...

I think Patton was a 4th round pick, agree in sentiment though.
