Next Year's UFAs
It's obvious to the most novice of Predator fans, the team needs a triggerman. The Preds have playmakers, two-way forwards, and defensive specialists. Only a couple forwards would you even consider classifying as snipers, if any. And while the farm system boasts talented young forwards galore, the window will still be open the next year and the year after to make a good run for the cup. Help will need to come from the free agent pool unless a trade of an asset we'll sorely miss happens.
OtF Viewing Party at VILLAGE PUB in East Nasty, Feb 26th (new thread)
Hey guys, since the weather decided to be un-cooperative we're rescheduling the 1st ever OtF viewing bonanza. Saturday afternoon, Feb 26th (1:00 p.m. start), against those anthem butchering slobs in Dallas. Same place, since it's the top vote recipient of our options. I would expect a fairly packed place, which should be fun.
Get your blue on, get out, and join some other rowdies.

OtF Viewing Party at VILLAGE PUB in East Nasty, Feb 10th (snowed out)
As you all who have been following this site have noticed during the road trip, our beloved OnTheForecheck.com has seen a major spike in activity in game threads, and more interaction as the season has gone on. What better time to capitalize on this hullabaloo than have ourselves a viewing party. Right? Right.
As the Nashville Bars Examiner (plug), I would advise a place that:
- Serves draft beers. Several of them, in fact. Especially Yazoo.
- It needs to be kid-friendly. We don't need to be having this at Anthony's Showplace. Sorry, Seth.
- Nice location, central perhaps. Some of us live in the woods to the west, or in Rutherford.
- Possible group seating area. While we're not expecting to take over a whole sports bar, we would like to get some space so we can be all social and stuff.
- Most important to some of us, it HAS to be hockey friendly. While yes, Alabama college basketball is a big deal and all, but it bows to hockey for supremacy. Bonus points if it's a Preds friendly place.
Village Pub owner Jesse was awesome. Happy hour runs 4 to 7, and expect a “loud, vocal crowd”. He advised to be there before 6.
Village Pub is off McGavock by Riverside Dr.

Also, for the Columbus game I will be heading west to good ol' Dickson on the 22nd. Feel free to join me at O'Charleys.
Feel free to unrec this, as we now have a new thread with up to date comments. That new thread.

Assembly Required: Time to give the kids a chance?
What a great summer so far right? The Blackhawks have kept up the pace jettisoning their supplemental talent, the Red Wings have gotten even older, and the Blues try their luck at second-hand goalies again. Oh, and Columbus is still Columbus.
Gets me every time.

Thoughts on Cigarron, Ownership, etc
While I do try to take this in with a grain of salt, this city has never had an ownership figure come out and say what all the fans would love for an owner to say. The only thing we've seen/heard from Bud Adams in years was the finger to Bills fans. And with the Preds, *former owner who does not warrant a mention* just kinda putz'd around during the honeymoon era, then raced out the back door. Tom Cigarron seems to be a different type of owner, much more hands on with a group behind him. After the jump, I'll rant about this and such.
