If Lakers take #1...
As i watch the Lakers smash the Spurs on TV, it was projected that the Lakers take the #1 spot if they can win their final game (Kings).
Knowing our history playing against the Lakers, what do you guys make of us playing them? I'd love to make the playoffs, but to match up against the Lakers would be silly. They have the front court size who can destroy Beans and TMNT. With Bynum read y for the playoffs...I dont know what to think.
I do want the warriors to make the playoffs as a statement. I just dont want to enter a game where we can get swept.
What do you think?
Buike on Jim Rome!
Hey guys, check out Jim Rome today on ESPN 1:30pm. I just saw on TV, that Buike was gonna be the special guest appearance. I hope Buike survives Jim's hard nose questions, but i cant imagine what kinda dirt he might have on him.
I'm not too sure if there is gonna be a replay on it if people cant watch it. however, i think that someone will put it on youtube.
What now?
With all the massive trades that have been going around the league this season. Where does this leave our beloved Warriors? This season has produced some power shifting trades. Kidd going to Dallas. Gasol going to Lakers. Shaq going to Phoenix. This really puts our Warriors in a position of uncertainty. Experts and fan would probably agree that from the beginning of the season, we would battle for the 7 or 8 seed this year. But reaching our conference finals is gonna take the utmost will power of our team now with these trades done. Are we forced to move some players to catch up with the "Jones?" and if we did, will this bring us to the conference finals?
I still embrace the notion that Basketball is a game of chemistry. However not too far behind chemistry is team talent. I would rate our Warriors as one of the most chemically stable (not mentally, lol) teams out there. We have relied on team chemistry and individual heroism to win the big games that we have won so far. I dont want to lose it, but might have to.
So what do you guys think the Warriors organization should do for the next two years?
I'm sure we're gonna re-sign Beans and Monta. And I am sure that Baron, StackJack will stay put. But that alone, in my opinion would not be enough to pull us deeper in the playoffs. Should we risk trading Harrington, Barnes, Belli, Buike or Wright in hopes to landing that big player that we need? Or how about begin integrating our two lovable rookies into some playing time and watch our season slowly fade away?
I will always love the warriors. But the playoffs last year are just a tease in what we should achieve in this league. I thought that we could have beaten the Jazz, but damn that Boozer is a Warrior-Killer.
Sorry for the unorganized rant, but after reading the Kidd trade, Denver's attempt to steal Artest and watching the time tick on the trade deadline, all has put me in serious thought.
This is my first post BTW, but has always been an avid reader for quite sometime now.
I used to live in The City, but now reside in Faker town where I get hated on all day. Gotta love the ignorant Faker fans....
