What are the cubs needs at the deadline?

The cubs starting pitching when healthy is enough to get us to the world series when healthy. People say a team needs four quality starting pitchers in the playoffs. The cubs have Dempster, Zambrano, Lilly, and Harden.

The cubs relief pitching has been very strong recently with gregg, marmol, marshall, and guzman. BJ Ryan is also about to come give us help in the bullpen as well.

As far as position players go our outfield is pretty good especially when they are hitting. Hopefully Bradley can start to hit more home runs as the season goes on. Our lineup should get even better once Soto come back. I still think the cubs need a 2nd basemen that can steal bases and get on base. Fontentot seems more like a backup to me and has been really struggling at the plate. That should be the priority for the cubs right now and another reliever would be nice.

The Cubs seem like they are coming along and so I ask who do you think the cubs should try to get at the deadline?

HOW ABOUT THIS DEAL?

Cubs should trade fonzi soriano and kosuke for halliday. The cubsa should just give up on the outfield for this season and rely on the likes of reed johnson milton bradley and hoffpaur and possibly trade minor leaguers for another outfielder. Defense wins championships and the sorianos defense is suspect. The cubs would have zambrano lilly halliday and dempster. No one can compete with our pitching. Our infielders our good enough offensivly to get the job done. If we dont do this trade the phillies or cards are gonna trade for halliday. This is a once in a life time oppurtunity ot get a cy young candidate. PLEASE DO THIS CUBBIES!!!!
