Golden State Of Mind Rubio Maybe Staying in Spain Until 2010?

Yo GSOMers out there. I read an article today on Hoopsworld http://www.hoopsworld.com/Story.asp?story_id=12714 and it basically says Rubio doesn’t want to play in Memphis or OKC city. It also mentions that he wants to play in Sac-town or Clipper land for some god awful reason. These places give me the idea that he wants to be on the West Coast or at least in a strong media market. I think this situation could easily be in our favor if we were able to trade for the number two pick to Memphis for BWright & our #7 (willing to through in Belinelli)  as well for the #2.

Now I know our relationship with snake Fegan is horrendous but if somehow we could assure Rubio on the direction of our organization (which may be damn near impossible cause nobody knows what it is) and that he would get some playing time we may have a shot to nap that pick. The backcourt with Monta and Rubio will struggle defensively for the first year or so but I see Rubio with the tools to be a good defender down the road with his length. We also would be getting a pass first point guard which we desperately need and I think we can handle his erratic shooting until he develops with our other scoring options. I know discussing Rubio has been beaten to death but maybe this situation works in our favor for once. Let me know what you guys think and it would be awesome if somebody would ask about this in the conference call today. Although they will probably side step the question.
