I became a Falcons fan from the first day I heard about the new franchise coming to Atlanta. Before that I was a Packer fan. I've stayed loyal through the many bad years this franchise has experienced. The few years of success we've had I've always held onto with the hopes our team will someday experience success on a yearly basis. My first time attending a Falcons game was on Dec. 18, 1966. I won 4 tickets from the local Coca-Cola Bottling Company in Hawkinsville, GA. That first season Coke had a promotion, (probably in only GA and a few surrounding states), that had bottle caps with the Falcons players names and pictures inside the caps. You take the caps and glue them on a board or chart (furnished by Coke) until the board was filled. I filled enough to earn a Wilson Football and a zip up coat with a sewed on patch of the NFL shield. A few days later we were notified from the Hawkinsville, GA bottler we had won 4 tickets to the last game of the season.
I've been a season ticket holder since the 1991 season. That first season I bought my tickets from a couple that were moving out of GA and would not be attending any of the games that season because of their new location. The next year I bought my own from the franchise.
I now live in the NE GA mountains, (not too far from Flowery Branch), with my wife, daughter and granddaughter.
