Falcons Franchise 27

I've been a Falcon fan since Warrick Dunn was the staring back. I've been through the ups and downs , but Atlanta will always be my team. Ever since the 06' season that's when I started following the Falcons religiously. With the new Head Coach Mike Smith aka Smitty, new Franchise Quarterback Matty "Ice" Ryan, new Hard pounding Running Back Michael Turner, and of course the genius besides Mike Smith behind the whole turn around is our new General Manager Thomas Dimitroff. The Falcons had a great draft in 08' picking up Matt Ryan as our future star Quarterback, our beast in the middle Curtis Lofton, great slot receiver in Harry Douglas, our man keeping the blind side of Matt Ryan safe is the big man Sam Baker, a one day starter Thomas Decoud, a solid nickel back corner back in Chevis Jackson, and a great back up Defensive End Kroy Biermann. We also had a hell of a draft in 09' picking up Defensive Tackle Peria Jerry, Safety William Moore, corner back Chris Owens, all the potential in the world in Lawrence Sidbury. and 2 big Lineman one on each side of the ball. With Roddy White having a Pro bowl year last season and now having help from Tight End Tony Gonzalez to spread the field I see Roddy White having an even better year and another Pro Bowl appearance.

The Falcoholic I have a list of 13 posible Offesive Lineman, 1 Free Safety, 5 Defensive Lineman, 6 Linebackers, and 2 Cornerbacks.

Most of the players are young only 4-5 years pro and some are a little older and there are a couple wishful thinking choices. I'll post all the players I think the Falcons should take a look at before the draft very soon. Hope everyone is eager to see my choices. And if anyone disagrees with my choices that's fine I would just like to know why? I'll be posting my picks Saturday night or Sunday afternoon.

The Falcoholic What about Chris McAlister?

Is he still a Free Agent or What? If he's available we better pick him up that would be another Veteran CB for our Falcons. Lets get TD to start looking at him. We have more than enough Cap Room.

McAlister released by Ravens: The Ravens released cornerback Chris McAlister, a 10-year veteran and three-time Pro Bowler on Monday. The 31-year-old McAlister, who started for Baltimore's Super Bowl winner in 2001, ranks third on the Ravens' career list with 26 interceptions and scored seven touchdowns for Baltimore - including a 107-yard return of a missed field goal. He started five games last season before being benched and was placed on injured reserve with an injury to his right knee on Nov. 11. McAlister finished the season with three interceptions and 19 tackles.(From CbsSportsline)

The Falcoholic Who will be the Falcons 53 Man Roster?

I'll have my entry in a couple of days, I'm going to take my time. I expect everyone to give this a try. You can give reasons Why? or Maybe Which was the hardest player to cut. Have fun with this. I think  it's going to come down to how many CB's we need, if we need 5 TE's, having 5 RT's, having 9 WR's, and having 5 RB's. I also think we should keep the bulk of our Defensive Lineman and most of the Line Backers
