The Most Important Question of our Lives
Why isn't the Dolphin on the logo wearing an actual Dolphins Helmet?
The Cal-Cal/ NLCS CKC
Potential future Dolphin Matt Barkley takes on the rival Golden Bears at Memorial Stadium. I haven't watched much of Barkley but it should be a good showcase against a decent opponent. USC is up 3-0. Watch it on ESPN.
In other news, Milwaukee takes on the Cards at St. Louis, in Busch Stadium. The Brewers are leading in the bottom of the 5th, 3 to 2. Watch it on TBS.
Go Bears and Cards!!!
I can't stand this "suck for Luck" phrase. The Dolphins suck for dozens of reasons and Andrew Luck has nothing to do with it.
Steve Gilia- Random Facebook poster
Dolphins Not Interested in Vince Young, according to Mortensen
Cardinals are going all in for Kolb, with Orton as a consolation prize.
Palmer is too expensive for a marginal (if that) upgrade.
Orton is possible.
Hasselback is as likely as any.
McNabb has a higher chance of getting released than Palmer, but the same thing would apply if he wasn't.
Should Miami Dolphins make pitch for Hard Knocks?
I don't how I'd feel about it.
Dolphins Hire Two Scouts
I'm sure someone will find a way to malign this.

Fox and the Ledge
Coach Sparano
So here I am, bored and scanning some articles with my TV on, when what I imagine is a documentary about Belicheck comes on the NFL Network. I noticed a few differences between Sparano and him:
-
When Sparano is at press conferences, he gives short, one-word answers that typically reveal absolutely nothing. He beats around questions, and has no sense of humor. The way he acts, one would think he's the director of the NSA or something. Sparano constantly quotes meaningless and obscure stats.
When Belicheck is at his conferences, he gives reasonable responses, that attempt to give at least a decent answer to the question (without revealing anything too dangerous, of course). He cracks jokes. He makes fun of the reporters sometimes. As strange as this may sound, he appears to have fun with his job.
-
When Sparano is on the field at practice, according to many different people, he micromanages everything. He dwells on mistakes. He nitpicks, and harps on mistakes like a naggy wife. I imagine him quoting stats and blithering on and on.
When Belicheck is on the practice field, he yells at people, and then lets them be. He tells stories and ,again, cracks jokes, smiles, laughs, pals around etc. I'm not saying he practices soft, but he treats the players near or on the same level as himself.
I could go on more (and probably left the previous section fairly sparse), but I guess my Overall Conclusion on Sparano is:
Sparano is not an NFL Head Coach. He's a pure-assistant in the same manner that Nolan is a pure DC. He's a nerd. Parcells had two goals, to establish a platform for success, and to place a Head Coach. Check one off, but two is still an issue. Why? Because Parcells unwittingly didn't look for a coach, he looked for a lackey. I'm not saying Bill wanted to coach, but he picked someone as if he was, himself, the coach.

Shut your hole, please. You still didn't make much with the few opportunities that were even presented to you. Great receivers make plays out of nothing. Practice your catching skills. Stop being ticky tack with penalties. Quit bagging on your HC and QB, because there's a decent chance they'll still be there next season. You're burning bridges before they're even built. Overcome, dude. And take the solar panels off your arms, you look ridiculous.
^I'm completely afraid of consequences. It's not like I have a 50 Million Dollar fallback option, and there will always be an opening in the NFL for me.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Are you just flat out dumb? Do you really think you'll be on demand on the open market? Miami was probably the only team that would think about bringing you back, and you just spat on them. Bad news, the Jets already have an old, used up Running Back. No matter how much you lust on them, they don't need another. And are we using you too much, or too little? Make up your mind. Which season is it? Doesn't matter, Ricky is complaining about carries. There's a decent chance you just forced your own retirement.
^Maybe Parcells will want me?

Stephen Ross
You get an A for effort. Yay. But you get an F in process, and results. Awwwwww. [(0+0+4= 4)/3]= 1.3= D. Tony Sparano clearly had a tenuous grip on the locker room, and this only served to dislodge it. At this point, I'd recant my earlier opinions and promote Nolan to Head Coach (too late for that). While normally I'd think Sparano was better, when you've lost the locker room, well... just take a look at Wade's Cowboys. You really should name a coach in waiting, and use someone else as a designated stop-gap coach for a bit.
^Our Next Michigan Quarterback?
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Jim Harbaugh
You know, I barely even blame you for accepting the San Francisco job. But that doesn't mean I'm happy. One, you lied and pretty much said you were taking the Stanford job after turning us down. Two, why is everyone raging at Ross, when Harbaugh was willing to interview for a non-vacant position anyways? If you're still around in two years, we'll see you then. Come and get it. You've pretty much, by taking the San Francisco job, admitted that you're too much of a coward to face the AFC East on a consistent basis.
^Whew, if it wasn't for the Rooney Rule, I might have signed with those South Beach idiots immediately. Dodged a bullet there.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It really doesn't even matter what people think of him. He was on a one-year contract and that expired. With the whole Marshall-Thigpen-Lee affair, the odds of him coming back, are fantastically small.

Belicheck indirectly compliments Henne
But is this a good thing? Or a trap....
A Semi-Implausible Dream
A general consensus among Dolphins fans is that the QB position needs dramatically improved play, next season. Many different theorems have been presented as to how this will occur, from Kevin Kolb, to Henne, to Donovan McNabb, to Andrew Luck.
One of the more abhorrent plans, in my opinion, is to sell our souls (and our picks) for a first round rookie, which is quite a gamble. But why gamble when you can lock a good Qb down.
I believe Miami should bite the bullet, and do as the playoff-bound Bears did, and sell out the draft for a proven QB, who is most likely in discord with their club.
Ross needs to pick up his phone and call A.J. Smith.
Comprehensive Coaching Search: Part 1- NFL Coordinators
At this moment, there is much speculation on who will be coaching the Miami Dolphins next season. I've decided to hash out every feasible candidate in the rays of Sol, and post their stats, qualifications, etc, etc. Seeing as there are so many options and pools, I've decided to split my post into several different ones, based on where they are now.
Disclaimer- Not every coach will fit with the Dolphins. I'm not advocating all of these people. I'm simply exploring the options. Please keep this in mind, before you attack one of the college candidates.

Kevin Curtis: A Deeper Look
With all the recent postings about Injuries, Trip-Gate, and Quarterbacks, it seems that Kevin Curtis has been lost in the shuffle. It's irrational to expect an extremely high amount of play from a 32-year old transient, but he is fairly intriguing.

Silly Jets
Something like that doesn't just disappear.
And did that idiot in the video seriously call a division game an easy win? Guess he forgot Buffalo last year.
Beat the JETS
What's the matter with you people? It's Wednesday of Jets-Dolphins 2 and there are zero Jets-hating articles on the site. This is one of two occasions where they are actually welcome. But anyways...

The QB Scrap Heap
In case anyone missed the recent game, QB-depth has instantly become an issue. Tyler Thigpen appears to be the only QB that definitely isn't injured. Chad Pennington isn't coming back, which definitely opens an extra spot, and the severity of Henne's injury is yet to be determined. For all we know, he could be out for the season as well. Therefore,
I've decided to compile a list of all free agents available that I can find. I'm not actively campaigning for these people, and some of them, I downright hate. Let's all face it, Week 10 isn't the ideal time to be QB-shopping, and trades don't exist right now.
If you know of more that I don't have, please speak up. I'll continue to update this as more are added. And before I get jumped on, Jeff Garcia is currently QBing the UFL Nighthawks.

Sparano confirmed to Henne that he will be Pennington’s backup and Pennington reminded Henne to stay alert and be ready to play at a moment’s notice.
