Ask Seahawk fans
The Seahawks and Falcons played last season, with Atlanta winning convincingly 34-18. Matt Hasselbeck was benched due to poor performance for Charlie Whitehurst and was even booed by the home crowd. On Sunday, the surprisingly struggling Falcons return to Qwest CenturyLink Field to face off against the Seahawks again.
Some recent Seahawks stuff:
- Head coach Pete Carroll is steadfast in starting Tarvaris Jackson at QB despite generally poor performances.
- Aaron Curry is firmly entrenched as a bust after being benched for a rookie 4th round pick last week and recently having his contract restructured.
- Despite a torn labrum in his shoulder, Sidney Rice is healthy to play and had a game-high 8 receptions for 108 yards in his Seahawks debut last Sunday against the Cardinals.
- The "Suck for Luck" fan uproar that started after Seattle began 0-2 has mostly died down after the victory against Arizona.
Any questions about the Seahawks, ask away!

Something that made me chuckle that came out of the Rashard Mendenhall controversy.
Ask a Seahawks Fan: We Meet Again!
Hello Windy City Gridiron. You may recall me from the first Ask a Seahawks Fan fanpost in October. In what seems like a surprise in retrospect, the Seahawks handled the Bears at Soldier Field 23-20 in a game that wasn't as close as the score would lead some to indicate.
Both teams have taken vastly different paths to close out the regular season. Seattle struggled and stumbled into winning the NFC West with a 7-9 record, while Chicago surged after that game and firmly secured the NFC's #2 seed and a first-round bye.
The first matchup was notable for being the breakout game of Mike Williams (career high 10 receptions for 123 TDs) after we rid ourselves of Deion Branch, and the first game of Marshawn Lynch as a Seahawk. Jay Cutler was sacked 6 times, including for a safety, and Matt Forte was held to 11 yards rushing on 8 carries.

Ask a Seahawks Fan: Playoff Edition
This Saturday, the defending champion New Orleans Saints travel to icy Seattle and raucous Qwest Field in a Wild Card weekend playoff battle. The Seahawks get the home-field advantage despite a 7-9 record due to winning the NFC West.
The last time they played each other, the Saints emerged victorious with a 34-19 victory after pulling away in the second half, despite Matt Hasselbeck throwing for 366 yards, his highest total since 2004.
My team awards for this season:
Offensive MVP: Mike Williams
Defensive MVP: Red Bryant
Special Teams MVP: Leon Washington
Best Offensive Rookie: Russell Okung
Best Defensive Rookie: Earl Thomas
Comeback Player: Mike Williams
Best 2nd string Player: Justin Forsett
Most Underrated: Michael Robinson
Biggest Disappointment: Aaron Curry
Worst Defensive Player: Kelly Jennings
Worst Offensive Player: Sean Locklear
Biggest Waste of a Draft Pick: Aaron Curry
In anticipation of the game, ask away any questions you may have about the Seahawks, the coaching staff, or anything like that, and I'll answer to the best of my knowledge. This game is going to be a curiosity with a number of storylines (one main one being the QB controversy for Seattle between Charlie Whitehurst and Matt Hasselbeck)

Ask a Seahawk Fan: The Sequel
So, it's finally come down to this. A season-ending showdown pitting two heavily mediocre teams against each other on national television for the right to be declared the winner of quite possibly the worst division in the history of the NFL. The St. Louis Rams travel to the rainswept Seattle this Sunday after an impressive turn around from a disastrous 1-15 effort last season, led by Offensive Rookie of the Year lock Sam Bradford. The Seattle Seahawks stumble into this game after fading spectacularly after a 4-2 start to the season. The winner lives on in infamy and owns the right to a home playoff game despite being assured a non-winning record.
The last time they played each other, the Rams came out on top with a surprisingly dominant 20-3 victory after a franchise-worst 10 consecutive losses to the Seahawks dating back to 2004.

How's it going Big Blue View. Hoped you were all able to survive the boredom of the bye-week and enjoy watching some other teams today (how about them 'Boys, eh?). My Seahawks have just came off an embarrassing performance against the Raiders, a blowout loss that borders on historic in terms of how one-sided the yardage was.
Next week, the Giants travel all the way to the other end of the country to the rainy Pacific Northwest, just in time for the beginning of the dreary weather season, to face the Seahawks at raucous Qwest Field.
The Seahawks have become unexpected contenders in the NFC West after 2 consecutive disastrous seasons that netted only 4 and 5 wins. The Giants have looked like a pretty strong team all season and will try to further their hold on the rest of the NFC this Sunday.
The last time the Seahawks and Giants matched up, Seattle left New York in 2008 with a humiliating 44-6 beatdown, notable for the RB trio of Brandon Jacobs, Derrick Ward, and Ahmad Bradshaw all averaging at least 6 yards per carry.
In anticipation of the game next week, ask away any questions you may have about the Seahawks or the coaching staff and I'll answer to the best of my knowledge. I think this game is very important for both teams.

What up Raider Nation. Congrats on the beatdown of the Broncos today. I'm pretty pumped about the Seahawks victory against the division rival Cardinals at home, although it wasn't pretty at times and certainly not as dominant and complete a thrashing as your victory today.
Next week, Seattle travels to Oakland in a match-up reuniting old division rivals for decades before the division re-alignment.
Both teams are exceeding most expectations this season, and are contending for their respective division titles.
In anticipation of the game next week, ask away any questions you may have about the Seahawks or the coaching staff and I'll answer to the best of my knowledge. I've been looking forward to this game since the schedule was released.

A little bit of hilarity from Lynch after his first game as a Seahawk.
Ask a Seahawks fan.
First off, congratulations on your win against the Panthers. We Seahawks fans aren't feeling that great after an uninspiring road loss to the Rams heading in to our bye-week, the first time we've lost to them since 2004. However, the season is still early and the Hawks have as good as a chance as any team to win the woefully bad NFC West.
This week, Seattle travels to the Windy City to face the Bears. The last time the Bears and Seahawks matched up, Jay Cutler engineered a 4th quarter comeback to defeat the Seahawks at home. This game is also remembered for the debut of the neon green alternate jerseys of the Seahawks.

First off, congratulations on your win against the Redskins. We Seahawks fans are also pretty pumped about beating the Chargers at home yesterday, although it wasn't always pretty. Often, it was terrifying at times.
Next week Seattle travels to St. Louis to begin the first of their two seasonal division battles. The Rams haven't beaten the Seahawks since 2004, when they swept the regular season series and also beat them in the first round of the playoffs.
In anticipation of the game next week, ask away any questions you may have about the Seahawks or the coaching staff and I'll answer to the best of my knowledge. I'm sure this game will be far more interesting to watch than the previous few match-ups, as both teams' rosters are vastly different from before.

Fearless Frog's Mock Draft
Hey NN,
Here's my first 2010 mock draft. Your thoughts and opinions are wanted. I had trouble picking for the 49ers so let me know any qualms or suggestions you have.
Fearless Frog's First 2010 Mock Draft
NOTE: 1st round only, and I created this a couple nights before the combine so be gentle. After going through it again I can already see some changes. I think it started off well until around the Giants pick, when the wheels started to come off.
Thoughts, opinions, and criticisms all welcomed. Sound off!
Fearless Frog's First 2010 Mock Draft:
Former 49ers LB Jeff Ulbrich hired as assistant coach in Seattle.
Quite an intriguing staff that Pete Caroll's putting together, eh?
Packers sign Crabtree!
The Green Bay Packers have signed TE Tom Crabtree to the practice squad
Remember when Detroit Lions fans wanted to draft Aaron Curry?
Back in the days leading up to the draft, Lions fans everywhere were clamoring for the front office to do the right thing and draft Aaron Curry with the first overall pick.
Derek Jeter is a bum.
...in this new movie starring Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg.
Chris Samuels to retire.
"Redskins Pro Bowl left tackle Chris Samuels has decided to retire because of a severe neck injury he suffered about two weeks ago, league sources said."
That's a shame. I wonder if Walt might follow suit.

A piegon lined up on special teams with the Raiders and flew down the field to cover the kickoff
Apologies for the less than ideal quality.
On a related note, I like how teams are wearing old jerseys for a game every once in a while. Does Seattle have any plans to wear the old ones in a game this season? I thought I heard a rumor about them wearing them against the Bucs but I'm not sure if that was true or not.
Frank Gore
Saw some of these on a different forum, thought they would incite a couple of chuckles.

The official Fearless Frog eats crow FanPost
You've all grown weary of my incessant snide remarks against the 49ers and heaping of praise vs. the Seahawks over the last few months. Up until the matchup today I didn't even think the 49ers would come even close to winning. As evidenced by the sound beating that Seattle took today.

Pick Sixes thrown this season: Tom Brady - 1
Jake Delhomme - 0
Why exactly are we calling for Jake to be benched again? There's a much bigger white elephant in the room here.
Shaun Hill vs. Matt Hasselbeck.
This will do wonders to sway your opinions.
Troy Polomalu sprains MCL, out 3-6 weeks.
