I writed that as a comment, but wanted to make it a fan post too. As a Bills fan and big VY fan, i think it's my job to say this things to you all.
I know VY is a very polarizing guys, but i need to say one thing. A lot of people talk about him based only in stats and on waht media guys say about him. It’s not very fair, since he always was in and out as a starter in Tennessee and had only one year without training camp and firts team reps in philly before started only 3 games in a whole new system ( West Coast) last year.
I watched every single game from VY since 2009, and can say this guy can be a very good starting QB in this league, ON THE FIELD. Off the field it’s a mistery because he had a really shaky relationship with his former coach in jeff Fisher.
With that said, the only thing i want to say to all Buffalo fans is, give this guy a opportunity to show what he can do. He accepted the back up job. I’m sure he thinks he can overplay Fitzpatrick down the road if he has a opportunity, and that’s a really good thing to the Bills, because we need good play by our starting QB, whoever he is. Fitz has all confidence by the organization, it’s up to him. VY will wait his turn, that’s why he accepted this opportunity.
Yes, he not reacted very well when had problems before, but now he knows he’s not the 3rd overall pick coming off the college anymore, he’s a guy who need to rebuild his stock, and looks like a guy who really wants this. Let’s see how he does for us before make comments about him based on the past.
This guy can ball, is a proven winner, has talent, upside, and wants a shot. Nix, Chan and the Bills gave him that. Let’s give him a shot too, i’m pretty sure a lot off Bills fans will be positively surprised by him. No reason to not like that. We are a better team and with more depth today, for sure.

I was thinking today, since Nix loves big targets and Vincent Jackson is his guy from his time with the Chargers, is Nix refusing to pay Stevie to get a shot at Jackson in Free Agency?

I like Jackson, but i'd rather have Stevie than him. Stevie is our guy, he worked hard to become our number 1 receiver and deserves to be paid. Yeah, he had mistakes and need to improve in some areas of his game, but the guy is a elite route runner and showed us no one can cover him when he's on top of his game. Just ask Revis.

The thing is, i think Nix prefer give Vincent Jackson a elite money than to Stevie. He will wait until FA period and see if he will have a shot at Jackson. If he can't sign him he will turn back to Stevie. I not agree with that plan, but i think that's what Nix want to do. What you think about that Bills fans?

I was thinking about what we could do about the OLB spot in the next off-season. Sure, draft one with our first round pick looks very likely, but maybe we will have a top 10 pick and for now i don't think Upshaw or any of the other options are worth be picked that high. That bring us the free agents options.

I like Mathias Kiwanuka of the Giants, he has the size, the skill set and is very athletic. He could play very well in our hybrid schemes.

Another option i think could be good is Anthony Spencer. He's a former first round pick from the Cowboys and is playing very well this year. He has a very good size to be our OLB too, and is not old. What worries me is the fact that he played his entire career opposite DeMarcus Ware, so, maybe he should have better stats at this time in his career. Maybe just like the Falcons signed Edwards from the Vikings and he's not playing at the level they expected ( played opposite Jared Allen in Minnetsota), that will be the case with Spencer.

We will have the option of give another shot to Merriman too, sure he wasen't the same from San Diego days, but i think he was doing well for us before the injury.

I think i'm missing some good names here, please tell me another options and your thoughts, thanks!

 Both of our teams loose winable games last week, and will need the win this weekend even more. Both of us will have problems because injuries too. I see Trent Cole will not play, and that is huge for us Bills fans, because we probably will start a rookie LT in Clemson Chris Hairston. Our starter Demetrius Bell was having a solid season, but have a shoulder injury and will be out a few weeks.

 I enjoy so much be a part of that site, and be able to discuss all about our beloved Buffalo Bills, but today i'm here to know if anyone can give me some help in my professional area.

  I was analyzing the best realistic options for us in the free agency.

 I'm a big BG fan, and i know i have a half of Bulls fans of my side thinking we are a better team now if we still have him, and a half too who dont want him for a minimum. I trade Boozer for him any time if the Pistons want, but i know it was not happening now. Boozer will stay, at last for now, and we cant expect nothing about that. BG is not a realistic option for  now.

 If Boozer will stay, we are only capable of trading minor salaries for our next starting sg. Maybe we can get O.J. Mayo, who i want so much, because i think he has potential to grow with D-Rose and became the best pair of guard in the league. But with the offer we made last deadline, we cant get him, and i dont think we can make a better offer now. And if we can, he will need a extension soon, like Rose, and like with BG, we will need to get Boozer out of here. Or Noah, or Deng. Well, better be Boozer. Not what Gar/Pax want, at least for now.

 Courtney Lee is not a option for me. I not  see him as a starting caliber sg for our championship team. J.R. Smith will not be here, we all know Gar/Pax will not bring a headcase like him. I dont think affalo will be disponible.

 Well, J-Rich will command more than mid level money like Jamal Crawford and Vince Carter.

 I See Michael Redd a good alternative, but he's not a sure thing right now. Iverson? High risk high reward, and for sure, more a sixth man than starting sg.

 Yes he´s a SF. But he can alternate with Deng at SG/SF combo. He's tall at 6'8 220 pounds, and he's a great defender like our management want. At 38 he can guard the best guards in the league. Watch that link:

He's a free agent, he's a leader, he's a veteran presence who TT want in your young team. He can handle the ball, and hit the open 3. Also he will want a ring before retire and to finish his amazing carreer. We can sign him with the mid-level money, or, if it is not available, we can create a little of cap space for him trading Brewer, or Korver. The only down side of this move, i think, is he is 38, and he will play 1 or 2 years and retire. But we can win 2 titles with him for sure. I will love see Hill slowing down Wade and James game after game in the playoffs. And for sure J.Butler could learn so much from him in those 2 years he is here.

 To me thats the best we can do this year. And its not even close. Grant Hill is the guy. He brings all we need. Please Bulls fans, your thoughts.

 Im here in name of the Bills fans and want your thoughts about our new CB Aaron Williams.

 We have a solid 3 man rotation at CB with Mckelvin, Florence, McGee. But McGee is strugling with injuries and Florence is a free agent.

 What we can expect from Williams short and long term? I think he´s most a nickel corner right now in gailey plans, but if Florence wont sign a new deal and McGee continues with injuy problems, can we be fine with Williams starting?

Im a Bills fan, here in Brazil, and i was rooting back in the draft to Bills select ILB Kelvin Sheppard. All i heard pre draft was positive about the guy.

Now i want your thoughts about what we can expect from Shepp, short and long term. We can loose our best LB in poszluzny via free agency, and we have much discussions about if Shepp can be pluged in and produces right now. Same about if can Shepp play alongside Poz in our 3-4 defense.

Question/Comment: Hi Sam. I know, this team is a surprise, no one expected that 62 win season, and all that talk. But i want to know if im is all wrong about that. I´m always in favor of build in the draft, and i think we had good players in recent drafts. Iknown too we can´t re-sign all our guys every time. But just thinking, if we have this year our team of 2 years ago, that team who lost the 7 game series to the Celtics( with Thibodeau as a coach we had beat that celtics team that year for sure), i think we could beat this Heat team and be the NBA champions this year for sure. With D-Rose- Ben Gordon/K.Hinrich- Deng- Tyrus Thomas/Taj Gibson- Noah/Asik/K.Thomas rotation, i think we had a better team. I know Boozer is the so- called post presence, but i think we not need that if we had BG hot like ever here. And Tyrus is way better in d, and finishes strong too. Gibson is playing well. Kirk could defend and hit the open 3. he rotates in 3 man rotation with Rose and BG. Deng play high minutes and we could put Butler in his place for few minutes. Brad Miller was good, but expensive, Kurt thomas plays like him and is cheaper. And asik is a monster in D. With TT defense, this team could be very good, and Rose have BG, Hinrich and Deng to hit shots for him. Noah, and Tyrus or Taj crashing the boards.Much people talk we need another star. I think BG was that star on offense with his clutch, and Hirinch that star on D.These two combine in one star. Your thoughts please. Thanks for the attention.

How you think will be the Bills CB depth chart for the next season if all corners stay healthy? Considering the re-signing of Drayton Florence ( who Nix said he want to re-sign).

For me, Aaron Williams is locked at nickel corner in his rookie year. Considering Reggie Corner and the rookie Rogers will battle for number  5 spot, who you think will be the starters, and what about the odd man out of this line-up?

Are you think McGee or McKelvin could see the field only in the dime packages? 

I particulary think McKelvin will start with Florence and Williams in the nickel. McKelvin is younger and the management will invest in him for long term.I love McGee, but he had problems with injurys and missed time in recent seasons. He is aging, but i think, if healthy, he could be the best corner in our roster. Its very hard for me slip him to fourth in depth chart.

 What you guys think about who´s the better player in their primes and today. Elton Brand or Carlos Boozer?

 I always be a fan of Elton, he´s the best player we get after Jordan retires, and i always liked see him in Bulls uniform alongside ron Artest. When the Bulls traded him, i cant belive in that. Two 20 and 10 seasons and traded for a unproven rookie? Are u kidding me?.

 Well, i never liked Boozer, but after Bulls get him i became a fan of his play, especially his post moves. He´s a solid piece to complement  D-Rose, and i belive in this Bulls team.

 In their primes i think Brand is superior for sure. He have all Boozer  talents but  was a better defender. And i think the majority of you not agree with me now, but i still think Elton is better now. H eplays a better d and block more shots, but wasent more a great scorer like boozer. I still think the Bulls could be a better team if we trade Boozer for Brand, but thats just my opinion, like i said,  im a Brand fan. Brand is older and have injury problems, but Boozer is younger and maybe have more problems than Elton with injuries. Im just sorry for Elton, i think he deserved play for a winning team.

 Ok, ok, the production wasent here. But c´mon, this guy have all phisical atributtes to be a dominant pass rusher. Now we have merriman to teach maybin some moves, and he could develop to a nice player. 

 Why draft a guy like von miller, ( who i think will be a great player in nfl) if maybin could be the same type of player. Just renegotiate his contract and throw incentives in the new deal. He cold be good.

 Watch James Harrison numbers in his first years. He was a bust. But at some time in his carreer, BOOM! He exploded in a dominant force, and became DPOY. Why Harrison could do that and maybin could not?

Think about that and vote Bills fans. Maybe you guys know things about maybin and i dont know that things here in Brazil, explain to me please, because i want maybin succeed so much and worth his draft status.

  Well, game over, VY go, Fisher comes back and i cant support that decision. Thanks for the time here in mcm, i enjoyed every game thread, fan post, and read mcm daily. Sorry for bad spelling at all. I´m from Brazil, and never learn english in languages school. i just learn the basics in the primary school and the rest i learned from video games and from read american sports sites like espn, nfl, nba, etc. So, sorry again by ugly letters.

 I want to explain why i always defended Vince, and why i will root for him in his next team. I always will carry with me nice feelings about the Titans, but im not a real Titans fan, not like u guys from nashville and some from houston, from the oilers. 

 Like i said before im from Brazil, and here your football does not exist. Some amateurs minor leagues and nothing more. Here football is your "soccer" and im a professional soccer player here. I not know football like you, but certainly i know much things about teams, teammates, coaches, how u can succeed with confidence and how u cant without and etc.

I became a football fan when i was 10 and my dad give me a super nes in my birthday. Here the super nes had not been released yet and i had two options. Or play Mario, or Madden. Here in that time only the super bowl was transmitted in tv. and in bills vs cowboys i always root for the bills with no sucess. Maybe i am a bills fan because they are the first team i enjoyed to watch.

Later i became a Mike Vick fan, and because that a falcons fan. This time i understand more the game and just like everyone i liked to watch the amazing mike Vick. When he was arrested i was shocked. Without Vick the nfl lost the magic to me. Was then i begin too watch VY more closely.

He called my attention in his rookie season, and i downloaded the texas-usc bowl game to watch what i read about here. Ouch! VY was amazing! I found magic in the NFL again! I always liked the Titans because Mcnair and Eddie George, and when VY became the QB i became a Titans fan.

With that said, i want to say, I´M NOT VINCE YOUNG, like some guys think,lol. I´m just a real VY fan, and i want him to suceed here(Titans) so much. I enjoyed every moment of his games and its really hard to belive he will not be in the titans uniform next season. I just think its not fair, after all, if not him, fisher was unemployed a long time ago. He saved his job twice! He deserved more trust from fisher for sure.Not because his habits, but because his play. He improved year after year and his stats and his performances on the field showed that. No one can improve without work hard in his game. I know that, im a pro, just in different sport. I became a bulls fan because MJ and became a Titans fan because VY. just that. i continue to be a bulls fan today and even in Tim floyd era. Just like i always followed the bills. 

Now Vick is back better than ever, and maybe the easy thing for me is root for him and his eagles ( i will do that in this playoffs). But now i´m a real VY fan and i will follow him to his next team. And like ever i will have one eye on the permanet Bills rebuilding process. Thanks for all, and sorry for my thoughts.

And one last thing. VY will suceed in other franchise. thats inevitable. He´s a winner, he´s a gamer and he will grow up for that bad situation. just see.

 Im just thinking, This team needs a short term answer to win a super-bowl soon, and have a good core to do this. Why draft a new qb, with a possibility of draft a bust at worst and a good qb in 3 years at best? We have a great athlete, good improving qb in Vince Young, and the most important thing, A WINNER. Give this guy one chance, yeah JUST ONE CHANCE to suceed. Hire his former coach for next year, vy´s contract year, and see what they can do togheter. If its not work out, cut ties with then after that and begin all again with another qb. But for now, this cold be the better thing for the Titans in the next season.

Various player support vy, but many can say anything about that because after all, Fisher remains the boss. Mack Brown was the coach of VY, Hall, Griff, Bo, and cold use VY and CJ at his best. Ok, maybe his offense in college is to simple for nfl standards, but he can adjust easily. I think the best thing for this team next season is hire Mack Brown for head coach.

  Vince is playing very well, but Jeff Fisher insists in slow down this guy. He can develop like mike vick, and right now he´s a good winning qb. With him the Bills dont need to draft a qb, they can improve the d and contend soon. VY just needs a coach with trust in him, and give him confidence to play his strenghts. His only inssue righ now is his fumbles, but he can correct this easily. VY is a winner and can bring that to  Bills. Your thoughs guys.

 Its time to re-sign VY. Yeah, we are 2-2. Yeah, he was benched vs Steelers. But c´mon, the only thing the guy is doing for us is win games when the coaching staff call plays for him.

 Vy has improved in every aspect of his game since his rookie year. When i watched his games this season, and last season, i watched a qb who can hurt defenses with his arm and his legs. A qb who wont force throws in bad coverages and is pretty accurate this year. He take care off the ball and is avoyding interceptions. But Fisher continues to limiting VY.

 Imagine VY in a offense scheme like the Broncos played against us. CJ will be much more dangerous, and VY could make a lot of plays from the shotgun.

 He hit his targets with frequency, and if gage, hall and britt dont dropped easy catches ( well hard catches maybe in the case of the late drops by britt), VY is completed above 70 percent of his passes.

 Like we can see, VY have good numbers this year, and fisher insists in dont call plays for him. He could be great, but he needs confidence, like all players in all sports needs to suceed.

 I think Bud have to extend VY to make Fisher see VY is not going anywhere. WE HAVE OUR FRANCHISE QB. Like him or not, all he´s do is win and improve game after game, year after year. I think he´s the player who most  rebound for problems in the league in five years as a pro. Maybe if Fisher finally know he´s not have another option, he could make a better offense with VY under center.

 VY and CJ could be the most feared tendem in NFL. But the teams needs to fear then both and not only CJ. Thats not in Vince Young hands right now. He´s doing his part.

  ... until week 6, how qb you choose, Vince Young or Michael Vick?

 I think then both could spark the bills offense with his mobility. Vy have a winning record playing in some Titans teams with a horrendous defense ( like last year and in 2006, his rookie year). He improved very much and Jeff Fisher cleary want him out in favor fo Kerry Collins ( very strange thing). Maybe the bills could bring him.

  Mike Vick showed he´s back, with two great games and andy reid insists kevin kolb is the eagles starter. Vick is saying all the right things, but he cleary want to start, and i think philadelfia is only expecting a good offer to let him go before loose him in free agency next year.

 Two very good options for me, how you see that???

  A 0-6 start with a big blowout at New England, with our QB throwing for negative yards isent a reason for Fisher benching Skerry Collins. Without bud adams intervention he never was do that. But when our star in the making QB played poor 3 qtrs( not only him, but all offense) Fisher not need a call for the owner to make this stupid move.

 Since VY take over as starting qb again, the titans won 9 of 12. he only played poorly in two occasions. Today and against Chargers last season. He improved in every aspect anyone can expect, on and off the field. Why make that and become a new controversy in the team? why make that horrible move and maybe make VY lost the confidence and momentum hes carryng since game 7 of the last season?

 How many times we see VY bring the Titans back in the fourth quarter and win the game for us? If VY continued in the game we maybe have a chance in this game. But Fisher showed another time that was personal.

 With VY and CJ we have a chance, but they need confidence, Vince have made great things for this team and deserves a better treatment for Fisher and the fans, we cant accept our coach make this things with our second best offensive player. We need him at his best, how you think he feels about he´s the only starter not receiving the confidence for ur coach? Is very difficult to suceed without help of the coach.

Matt Leinart and the Texans.  With that the Titans never will loose a game to this team with VY under center. He never lost a game to the Texans and Leinart just can watch VY make his clutch plays in final drives of his games. Texan fans, you really need to pray for Shaub health, its your only chance, minimal chance. Any word about that? I expect see leinart in texans uniform vs VY and the Titans, that will be fun to watch!!!
