Another Interesting Article on the "Cap Theft" (Copyright Rena)
Some discussion of how the legalities could play out.
Yeah, About the O Line? I Really, Really Don't Get it.
Jones, based on that endless interview he gave, is talking like he's basically done with changing up the O line. I hope it's just Jerry being a blowhard as usual and the work isn't done. If it's not, I have to wonder if Romo will be worried again.
Off-Season Activities Getting Ready to Start!
Something to talk about before the draft, anyway.
Woodson Says Cowboys Had Bounties, Too. Sort of.
It wasn't intended to maim anyone, and it was not sanctioned, organized, or funded by the team or coaching staff. It was loosely organized by the players themselves. Still, some folks theorized that everyone was going to get caught up in this. Guess so.
Uuuuuugh. Games Abroad.
Awesome way to wear out your team, Jerry. Mexico isn't bad, since it's not far and the time change is non-existent or minimal, but London? Really?
Mario Manningham Moving On?
Dunno if this site has a clue, or if anyone really cares, but it says he is expected to sign with the Bucs.
Update on Kosier and Murray Rehab.
Sounds to me like Kosier could be back.
Moose Gives Philly Fans Some Love.
Just kidding.
DeMarcus Ware's Reaction to Jason Hatcher
Public statement met with public statement. I'll say it again; I wish it were all in house.
Sturm's Detailed Analysis of the O line Play This Season, Player by Player
Very revealing discussion of the deterioration of the Cowboys O line play as the season progressed (with an aside on how much better the Giants line was playing later in the season). Not a surprise, of course.
If reliable stats could be had on pressures and hits on the QB, this would likely look even worse.

UGH . I Owe Jerry an Apology.
That's what I get for reading not just Watkins or PFT, but Jone's very own Mothership (could they please get an editor?). I should know to go to the source, which is the original interview. No one in the press, that I know of, got it right.
Jerry steps on his own tongue often enough that I bought it completely that he'd done it again. Props to those who questioned the reports, and my bad for arguing with you. He did not bash Romo or even compare Romo unfavorably to Dumb Face.
Retitled: "Hey, Jerry, could you STFU?" Love, Fernie.
If Jones is willing to dis one of the few bright spots on the team publicly, he may not plan on having Romo around after the latter's contract expires year after next.
Me? I think Jerry needs to look in the mirror if he wants to pinpoint to the biggest difference between the Giants and the Cowboys.
Thanks to texstar for calling my attention to this.
Edited: Couldn't resist the retitling after a good night's sleep. :)

Houck Foresees Free-Smith Switch.
He makes some interesting comments about Free.
Two Questions for the Knowledgeable Amongst Us.
The first is, is it easier to develop a rookie CB or DE? In other words, would the Cowboys be better off drafting a pass rusher first and picking up CB's in free agency if they want players to make an immediate impact? This obviously excludes the possibility that the team drafts O line first. The second is about BTB mechanics. Is there a way to search through one's own posts without going page by page? In other words, is there a way to jump through pages so I can get straight to, say, my own comments in summer 2009? Edited to add: Never mind about the second question. I've figured it out.
America's Team? Whatever. Ratings gold? Yup.
Credit where credit is due. Got the link from a Sturm post on Twitter.
Sturm Turns His Lasers on the O Line. Again.
Awesome analysis.
They are wasting the prime of a difficult to find QB who can play at a very high level by not providing him the protection in key moments like many of the successful QBs in this league enjoy.
Damn right.

Kosier Has Torn MCL.
Not that I believe his absence made any difference (or did the line play slightly better for a little while after he went out?), but it is what it is.
Sturm on the QB position and the Trenches.
His entries from December 27, 28, and 29 are very interesting. A bit discouraging, but also informative regarding what the Cowboys need to work on for next year. Biting commentary on the O line and D line.
Hurd Attorney Says His Client Never Sold Drugs to Players.

From the Mothership: Fiammetta May be Back for Giants
At least according to Fiammetta. Happy he's feeling better.

Nice Sturm Article on Romo's Day AND Clarification on Time-Out-Gate
It would not have been a penalty at all, folks.
Nice Article About Holland from the Mothership
Maybe we should retire the name "Lumpy."
Peyton Manning to the Redskins?
Well, in the mind of one member of the Washington press corps anyway.
Latest from Hatcher (via Twitter)
I'll be very happy to have him back. He was looking good before the injury.
