Double-T Nation What is the "Gopher"??

I've heard a lot of people mention it when describing our new OC's offense and I don't have a clue what that means. Can someone please explain it? I imagine it has something to do w/ the quarterback crouching down and, perhaps, handing the ball off or running it?

After seeing the You Tube Video, I'm not convinced that his O will work as well as the Air Raid. I think I liked Riley's version of the Air Raid more than Leach's because we ran the ball more (effectively).

Double-T Nation Why didn't Leach go for 2 on the last TD?

I'm trying to figure out why he kicked the PAT when that only put us up by 6pts. Was wondering if anyone could think of a reason why we wouldn't go for 2 there so that it's a 7 point lead and a completed hail mary in the end zone for Texas would tie the game - not win it.

I know it was a crazy scene after Crabtree scored but I could of (not likely) but still..could have come back to bite us.

Double-T Nation Fowler is out. Corona is back in.

I guess that makes sense because if we're going to struggle we might as well struggle w/ a freshman...still, has anyone heard any quotes from our special teams coach (or even know his name) on WHY his kickers can't execute something that middle schoolers routinely have success at?

As Leach said in his interview, kicking is something that doesn't really change regardless of the level of competition. There's a ball, air, a foot and you just kick it...and in this case it's only like 15 yards.

Double-T Nation EA Sports '09 College Football Ranking

In case anybody is interested, we're ranked #12 on the game. Here's a link to player rankings for our top guys:

Crabtree is the top WR on the game and Graham is a 96. I was surprised that our offense was "only" a 92...it's 8th best on the game but still think it should be higher. I also saw that they had our stadium as the 24th toughest place to play which is nice.
