Introduction Thread
As I scrolled down the list of new fanposts, I realized that I only recognized one or two of the names on there. I thought that it might be a good idea to have a thread where new members can introduce themselves, share a little bit about their background (if they choose to), and get acquainted with the website. I believe that this will help us build a tighter knit community where everyone at least knows each other somewhat.
Titans sign Witherspoon.
Will Witherspoon was just signed by the Titans to a 3 year deal worth 11 million dollars. I know a lot of you guys were upset by his release (me included), and some of you thought that we were just letting him test the FA before signing him again. This obviously is not the case. Do you guys think that he will be successful there? Should we have kept Witherspoon at the very least as a backup?
I think that we made a huge mistake in giving up Gibson, but I guess that will be determined. So sound off!
Vick to the Panthers?
From NFL.com....
Let’s get two things straight: 1) Michael Vick is still under contract with the Philadelphia Eagles, and 2) if he is traded, it won’t likely happen before the preseason begins in late July, as NFL Network’s Jason La Canforaexplained two weeks ago.
But those two facts didn’t stop the quarterback from discussing his future on an Atlanta radio station over the weekend as if he were a free agent or could control which team he is traded to.
“If I could play for any team in the league, it would probably be two teams. But if I had to pick one, it would probably be the Carolina Panthers,” Vick said during an appearance on the Gangsta Grillz radio show.
Vick, who did not reveal the second team, was asked why he had Carolina No. 1.
“Well, you know, it’s close to home. I like the uniforms. You get to play against Atlanta twice a year,” he said. “Ain’t nothing better than playing against your former team, right? So, yeah, that would be a good look. It would be a good look.”
The Eagles owe Vick a $1.5 million roster bonus if he is on the team Friday, the first day of the new league year. La Canfora previously reported that $1.5 million isn’t a significant number for the Eagles, who will likely pay it instead of cutting Vick.
According to the Charlotte Observer, the Panthers had an opportunity to kick Vick’s tires last offseason before he signed with the Eagles and decided against pursuing the quarterback. The paper reports that the Panthers aren’t expected to be interested now.

Desean "the boom" Jackson
We have all been searching frantically for a good nickname for Desean Jackson, and I'd like to suggest what I think is a good one:
THE BOOM

Here comes the BOOM!
He's got that BOOM BOOM POW!
He's gone just like that BOOM!
Like a sonic BOOM!
What do you guys think? As Desean's running in for a 70 yard TD, a whole stadium shoutin BOOM! Or maybe even Boom Boom Boom (form the Black Eyed Peas)? BOOM!
Celek could kill Chuck Norris
Heres the scene:
I'm sitting at the Eagles game. Brent Celek has the ball in hand bull-rushing towards the end zone. Two Kansas City defenders (fairies) stand in his way. Everyone is on their feet. The man to the left of me sighs and sits down, complaining about how Celek couldn't make it into the endzone.
Somebody spoke too soon.
It seemed like every other play Brent had the ball in his hands and was punishing some helpless receiver. My love for Celek began last year during the playoffs, when almost everything he caught was either a first down or a well-earned touchdown. This year, my love continues to grow for him. We lost the toughest man on our team in Dawkins, but Celek has no problem filling that gap. This kid is a stud. Chuck Norris, watch your back.

What kind of crazy formations do you think we'll be seeing tomorrow?
In my humble opinion...everyone and their mother will be receiving snaps tomorrow. Of course Kolb will be the "main man", but like we saw last week against the Saints, we'll probably take some pressure off of him with a couple of trick plays every series. Last week's offense was exciting. It didn't work to it's full potential but it was exciting none the less. Everyone got their hands on the football, and with Westy limited and Vick put into the equation, I can only imagine what kind of trickery the Birds will have in store for the Chiefs woeful D. What do you think?
