At home with Terrence Williams, on the rebound from poverty
New UL Bball Member
Manhattan guard Chris Smith is transfering to UL. Brother of NBA player J.R. Smith with the Denver Nuggets, will sit out next year before gaining eligability. Averaged 13.4 ppg and 5.7 rebounds last year. He will have two seasons to play at Louisville. Similar to the Will Scott story without the oxford scholarship, Smith wants to play basketball on a bigger stage and in the Big East.
Pitino also went to see Marques Teague earlier this week play in action who's brother Jeff Teague was a star last season for Wake Forest.
Word is out that cards coaching staff is also after a big 7 footer in Fabrico De Melo of Brazil who will be playing in the states next year in a move similar to Samardo's from Jamaica.

'Scary Talent' awaits Irish

Cluttered concerns about where college basketball might one day take him often prevented Louisville swingman Terrence Williams from consistently dipping deep into his toolbox of talents.
On occasion during his previous three seasons, Williams would spend so much time thinking about his future that he couldn’t sustain success in the present. When his skills were expected to help navigate Louisville through its early growing pains in the Big East, he was looking to see if the NBA scouts were watching.

Withey transferring from Arizona to Kansas
LAWRENCE, Kan. -- Jeff Withey, a 7-foot freshman who spent one semester at Arizona but did not play for the Wildcats, will transfer to Kansas next semester.
Kansas coach Bill Self confirmed Withey's decision Wednesday night via text message.
Arizona's top 2008 freshman, Withey requested a release from his scholarship before the season began after coach Lute Olson suddenly retired in October.
Withey chose Kansas over Texas, Gonzaga, Cincinnati, Indiana, San Diego, San Diego State and Boston College.
At Kansas, Withey will enroll in classes for the spring semester and will be able to practice immediately. He'll redshirt this season and be eligible to play as a freshman in December 2009.
Withey averaged 20.8 points, 13 rebounds, seven blocks and four assists in his senior season at Horizon High in San Diego.

Deosnt help the already depleting defense. Im just wondering what the coach is feeding these players. Im not ready to jump on the bandwagon of Koach haters, but when will the day come when i hear about players wanting to play for UL and not quit, or get kicked off? Your playing D-1 football in a BCS conference on full scholarship and you quit? come on...

Earl Clark Leaving
He has yet to sign with an agent, which means he can withdraw and come back to school. But i am guessing you won't see Clark in UL uniform next year, money is more powerful than education these days. You think DC talked him into it?
