SI asked its readers to rank the best stadiums in baseball across a variety of categories and it's obviously wise and progressive fan base called Jacobs Field the best, something we can all agree on.

The Brewers, Pirates, Tigers and Cardinals respectively (and respectfully) round out the top 5. The Nationals (I live in the DC area) come in second-to-last so I assume that's based on RFK though I have to say I'm not wowed by their new home either.

I have said for many years that Cleveland has one of the best home crowds in baseball, good to see other fans acknowledge that, only Seattle ranks higher in terms of fan experience. And much of that is probably drug induced anyway.

The Reds Hate Their Fans

Or, at the very least, they don't respect them all that much:

http://sports.aol.com/fanhouse/2008/03/26/the-unhittable-toyota-at-great-american-ballpark/

the reds started a promotion where they put a truck in the outfield,
and if a red hits it during a game, a "lucky fan" wins it. the problem
is they put it on top of an elevator shaft and it's totally
unreachable. I e-mailed Greg Rybarczyk at hittrackeronline and he got
back with me after doing the math and said, basically, that its
impossible to hit by any person other than A-Rod or Wily Mo Pena, and
even then it would have to be wind-aided (to the effect that only one
major league home run was hit last year) and still be lucky enough to
go there. Actually, what he said was, "It might as well be on the moon."

Tigers Give Dontrelle $29M Extension

I have to agree with the guy who wrote this, I can't see the logic behind extending him before you've watched him go through a season as an AL starter. But I fully support the Tigers wasting money and hope this proves to be a bad investment.

http://sports.aol.com/fanhouse/2007/12/20/the-tigers-want-to-go-steady-with-dontrelle/
