Spring Football Analysis II & the "Scat" Play
We are branching out beyond the Oregon Running Game as we look at Defensive Line Technique and a popular passing play that Oregon and a ton of teams use. I always look forward to discussion here at ATQ….
FishDuck Minute #12: Oregon's Deadly TD Pass Play
Fun to see the examples!
First New Tutorial since August!
A first new Tutorial since last August! I’ve been doing game breakdowns which are longer, and then shorter subjects via THE FISHDUCK MINUTE the last couple of months, but it was time to add to the basics of the Oregon Offense. This goes back to a longer formula to cover the subject and give plenty of examples without being under a time constraint.
Chip Kelly’s New Universal Formation
Do come back here to discuss—and I’d like to on this board. Cheers to all……
Pac-12 Spread Offense Analysis: The Short Passing Game
As always, it’s Video-Time Tuesday and Josh breaks down what other Pac-12 Spread Offense Coaches are doing with their short passing game. I love to talk football here, so come back and discuss!
The FishDuck Minute #9: Oregon’s Best No-Huddle Plays of 2010-2011
We all have our favorites of certain plays, but my "best" plays come with an explanation as to why. I’m ready to talk a little football on ATQ—so what are your favorites?
Tuesday is always "Video-Time Tuesday" and while the video is short--it's not as restricted as before.

Pac-12 Spread Analysis: Outside Run
As always, we have a new video out on Tuesday and today Josh looks at how other OCs in the conference run an Outside Zone Read in their version of the Spread Offense. I’m always interested in talking football here, so comments are welcome.
Pac-12 Football Analysis-Inside Zone Read
Hey Everyone, it’s Video-Time Tuesday and we have another FishDuck Minute by Josh. He is beginning to analyze the Spread Offenses in the Pac-12, and is starting with the Inside Zone Run play used by most teams. As always…I’m interested in talking football here!

Video-Time Tuesday: The Beguiling Bryan Bennett
I take a look at how Bryan Bennett runs the Zone Read so well in this week’s "FishDuck Minute" and do come back here to discuss. The first component I discuss is the major one, and unique among Oregon QBs I’ve seen run option/zone read plays.

Our friend Carnard has fun at the Huskies expense...
The FishDuck Minute: Oregon’s New "Dart" Play
This short video is a new feature we’re adding that most thought (knowing me) would be impossible. We will have videos less than two minutes every week on "Video-Time Tuesday" from now on. This is another auxiliary play to the Inside Zone Read to keep defenses off-balance. Come back here to discuss.

The Fish Report: Chip’s Final Rose Bowl Surprises
It is great fun as Josh takes us through Chip’s playcalling of the second half in the Rose Bowl, while discovering a new play that Chip unveiled! While this one came out late on Tuesday—we will have a video each week now released on that day. We call it "Video-Time Tuesday" and hope you enjoy the new ones in the offseason. Discuss the new play here and thanks!

Chip’s Rose Bowl Playcalling
I am very lucky to have a colleague like Josh who not only can do superb video analysis, but brings a fresh new subject into it. Quite interesting, but I’m biased. :) Come back to discuss….
This is the beginning of "Video-Time Tuesday" as from here on out we will have a video every week on Tuesday!

The Fish Report Video: Rose Bowl Game Plan #1
We look at plays and formations and try to determine a probability percentage of seeing them in a Rose Bowl Game Plan. Come back to discuss, and yes this is one time I might be a bit critical of Thomas. But I have also praised his decisions through the season……you decide after seeing the video.

The Fish Report: Oregon’s New "Sweep Read"
Can you be embarrassed and pleased at the same time? I’m wiping egg off my face about wrongly identifying a play, yet I’m delighted to find a new play that few, if any teams in college football are using. Come back here to discuss as I’d like your thoughts.
FishDuck
The Fish Report: The Outside Zone Read Altered?
This report is shorter than most weeks, (five minutes) but we look at an innovative way that Oregon sprung the Outside Zone Read for big yardage in this last game. I find it interesting and hope you do too. Come back to discuss as usual.

The Fish Report: Winning Strategies Against Stanford
We examine a new offensive strategy unveiled against Stanford and for the first time we look at some big defensive plays in a game. Zone Blitzes are a wonder to behold, and while I’m not comprehensive in my description—it is fun to look at them as a FishDuck First. Come back to discuss…..

The Fish Report: Why is Chip Introducing MORE?
There are some interesting questions about the new plays/formations introduced in this game, but the biggest one is why? I’m curious as to your take, and do come back here to discuss.

The Great Spread Offense Laboratory
Sorry I was late this week; last week’s turned out to be a watershed report as I explain, and this week’s simply took longer as a result. Come back here to discuss as usual.
We look at WHY Bryan Bennett does the Zone Read so well, along with a new formation that Chip revealed in the first half. We analyze a major strategic change taking place in Chip’s attack philosophy in his Spread Offense, which blew me away when I first saw it and thought about the implications. None of the other media has covered it. (As usual)
Cheers to all,

Josh’s Pre-Game Video Analysis of Arizona State
Guys…I can hardly believe my good luck in having a fellow like Josh on board at fishduck.com who can put together what we need to watch for against ASU like he does. It is short, and I learned a bunch from him and it is going to make watching the game that much interesting. Well done!
Come back here to discuss as usual. (What ABOUT the passing matchups?)

The Fish Report: How Chip Kelly Defeats the "Cover Zero" Defense
We look in depth at two strategies that Oregon used to overcome Cal’s "Cover Zero" defense that we didn’t see last year. We also examine why Darron Thomas is wide open to run, but doesn’t. We have some important announcements, and do come back here to discuss.

A FishDuck First! Oregon Football Highlight Video for Arizona 2011
We have seen all the five to ten minute highlight videos out there, and I thought I would add my version to the fray. It is two and a half minutes is all, and has some good up-tempo rock behind it. My question to all of you is….could it gone longer? Another thirty seconds to a minute? I was torn between keeping it short, (which is not done as much) and adding some more plays and some slow-mo up close of my favorite plays. (Like Stuckey’s sack)
I’m also so-so about the second song. I appreciate the feedback, as last week the majority set me straight as to the most popular video format to use, thus I’m curious how to make this project better. (I’m new at creating videos, thus the requested feedback)
We REALLY love our Ducks in this setting!

Cal's "Cover Zero" Video Defensive Analysis
I'm still behind and haven't had time to ponder and respond--but I had to let you know about a PRE-game video analysis by this young-gun writer Josh. He is the epitome of Kurt's video expertise, and my hankering for wanting to analyze.
Really good stuff, and I'm curious what you all think about Cal will throw at us after you see this report.
FishDuck
Interesting new stuff......
If you haven’t read or watched a Fish Report in a while…..try this one as it is shorter. The text is HALF what I used to do, and since people didn’t want to commit to watching five minutes of video….I changed my format and have four videos in the report of which the longest is only THIRTY SECONDS. My narration is the text, and you can scan/read that fast and then the super-short videos make it easy to bite and digest.
Do me a favor…if you haven’t read one in a long time—try this one, and come back and tell me what you think. If you do watch/read the reports in the past—I am interested in your feedback as well. I am trying to adapt to create the form the majority of people want, and yet will get the most views. I realize when people are watching/reading them at work—you have to take a bite at a time by reading a few paragraphs here, and then a 27 second video there, and bam-you got it done and learned something. I was happy with this report, and hope you enjoy it as well.

The Fish Report: QB Runs Answered & A New Play! (Arizona 2011)
Why would Darron Thomas take off running in this game while not before? This is a question we tackled last week, but the answers became even more evident against Arizona. We have examples of THREE positions on the defense being Zone Read in this game while being introduced to a new play utilizing the strengths of a true freshman who looks to make a big impression this season! (And no—it is not DeAnthony Thomas) Read more—click the link above……………
