Are the Mariners even attempting to resign Adrian Beltre to a long term contract, or are they just planning on trading him or letting him walk for draft picks? He is a incredibly undervalued player with good power, disipline, and he might be the best defensive third baseman in the game. He would be a good and productive veteran presense, and his skill set should age pretty well. He is not even thirty yet and he isn't blocking any real impact prospects. Tui isn't ever going to be as good as Beltre is now.
