Who said we have quality starters? Lohse has been quality, Yo has been iffy and Estrada has been inconsistent, Burgos, and Peralta have been disasters.

Also to claim Estrada or Fiers were success stories is pretty preamature. Neither had more than 250 career innings in the MLB. They basically had between a half and a full season of service time as a starter.

I got that but Willy was the teams only 4 star prospect at pitcher since Manny Parra and he bombed also. I'm not saying WP wont be able to get better and recover it's just well yea... you know.

How much of the hitters struggles are a result of them mentally checking out after being down 6? I know you'd like think they'd try hard till the end but that's got to be tough to stay focused when your down so much so early.

Starting last year it was random. He went off the PEDs to start the year did horrible gave in halfway through, the Miami clinc caused him to go off them again.
