The World Is Ending

I don't think I have ever seen it!!! A national writer has claimed a Brewers pitcher has the upside of a #2 and has a 3rd pitch!!!

Yuni's on a tear!!!

"Dropping Yuni is the worst mistake the Brewers ever made! He's hitting .345 so far this year, and is showing good plate discipline, teams are pitching around him, he's already drawn 2 walks in just 31 plate appearances!!! That gives him an OBP of .387! Plus MLB Network said he's a good defender! He is going to be a perennial All Star now! Fire Doug Melvin for letting him get away!" Sincerely Old Vegas

Alex Gonzalez

Maybe it's because he's better on D... Maybe it's because he is off to a pretty good start compared to what we expected... Maybe it's because he just doesn't have a Ballet swing...

Let us not forget how great last year was and here's to an even more successful year this year!...

Let us not forget how great last year was and here's to an even more successful year this year! Enjoy this video and all the wonderful memories it brings back! I know this was the greatest sporting event I have ever attended but I hope I will pass it this year when we reach the World Series. Have a wonderful Opening Day and PLAY BALL!

Doug Melvin and SABR

10

For those of you who have complained in the past about some of Doug Melvin's moves and those who have wondered how much he takes into account new metrics for analytics, it appears he's at least aware of the concept. Melvin will be speaking at the SABR Analytics Conference in Mesa AZ which runs March 15-17th.

Cot's Contracts

I don't know if this is new but I noticed that Cot's Baseball Contracts is no longer a Blogger domain, it would appear the site was purchased by Baseball Prospectus.

Lets go 7 for Prince!!!

I don't know how many people realize how little teams benefit directly from post season ticket sales, at least if there is a sweep. Check out this article I found on the way playoff revenue is divided up. The players make A TON by making the post season. The owners, not so much in direct revenue unless there is longer series.

Post Season Fan Dynamic

I know a lot of us complain about idiot fans or drunk and obnoxious fans during games but I noticed and really enjoyed the fan base at this post season game 5.

Lance Berkman on the Dust Up. ""There seems to be a running theme here," said Berkman, a newcomer to the feuds. "Because it's Cardinals-Brewers, Cardinals-Reds, Cardinals-Astros, Cardinals-Cubs. The Cardinals seem to be the common thread in all of these things I think that kind of emotion and energy is helpful." Lance Berkman After Tuesday's Game

Article on Chris Narveson's Hot Start

Ran into this interesting blog article about Chris Narveson's hot start to 2011. No I didn't write it so its not self promotion but I think some people might enjoy this...

Something to make you smile...

I know it was a long time ago and it may be silly to post this, but I was trolling through the insanity that is the Cubs boards and ran across this Fan post. I really do enjoy it and decided to post it given the result of today's game...

Fire Doug Melvin

We need to fire Doug Melvin and find someone else, he just doesn't know how to build a pitching staff.

Rick Peterson Still Around?

The Brewers website has an add on the left side from time to time for Rick Peterson's 3P Pitching program. I find that mildly amusing. I wonder if his contract included advertising on the Brewers...

Parra for #5

Ok so I know Narveson is the better option for our #5 starter and I do like him as a back of the rotation kind of guy, I honestly think he can make an above average #5. That's not saying much as...

The Future of Dave Bush

Ok I know that it is way to early to speculate on what Dave Bush will finish the 2010 season with in terms of numbers... but who cares I am going to do it anyway.   Lets say Bush stays healthy and...

Bring Back Untucking

I didn't create this facebook group but I joined it. If anyone here has facebook and misses the untucking that the Brewers use to do show your support and join the group.   I realize it most likely...

TV Contracts

I know that the Brewers have the smallest TV contract in the MLB (or if not the smallest its almost the smallest). I was wondering if anyone knew how games on ESPN and FOX affect TV contracts? I...
