Bleed Cubbie Blue When is it (or is it even) acceptable to wear the hat of another team?

There has been a discussion of this topic between my friends and I for a couple of days now.  Is it okay to wear a hat of another team without "quitting on your favorite team?"  Obviously, the Cubs aren't going anywhere this season and this is usually the time where I start paying attention to other teams because I am a fan of baseball.

There are teams I do not like and would rather they lose (Cardinals, White Sox, Marlins, Red Sox) and teams that are likable that are not typical rivals of the Cubs (Angels, A's, Rangers, Twins, Yankees [family in New York and I've been to games in both Yankee Stadiums and they were awesome.  Before going to YS I hated the Yankees])

My girlfriend, a Yankee supporter, wanted me to buy a Yankee hat because it would go nice with something I was going to wear for a party.  I told her I couldn't because I would be turning my back on the Cubs and would never hear the end of it from others that know I live and die with every game.  She also said. "She would wear something Cubs if I asked her too."

Please forgive me if I have wasted minutes of your life that you will never get back.
