"The long anticipated fight between Manny Pacquiao, 51-3-2, 38 KO’s and Floyd Mayweather, JR., 41-0, 25 KO’s is a done deal with only signatures needed on the printed contract" said a very reliable inside source close to Team Mayweather who has just contacted RSR. This inside source went on to say, "Floyd is very happy that both sides could work out issues that he always felt could be talked out." Floyd is anticipating on making well over 50 million dollars with Manny making almost the same. Tentative dates being kicked around for an HBO PPV is the middle to end of November 2010 and if this does happen there is no doubt that this fight will be the biggest grossing in history.

Paul George replying to my question on Twitter I asked him "Do you have a preference where you go or would you mind if LAC drafts you?". Figured I'd share the answer.

"Up until now, it's been a very difficult negotiation process for various reasons but right now we're very close." "We're very close in finalizing the contracts that were once very complicated. The two fighters now realize that this fight must be made. It has to be made because the boxing fans want to see it happen and right now it's the biggest fight that can be made in the world." "It's going to be a big, BIG fight!" "I think right now we are very, very close in finalizing the contracts. I can't talk right now in detail about the negotiations but I will say that we are very close."

"There's a whole talent pool at 154 and 160. There's Angulo, there's Martirosyan, there's Miguel Cotto, there's Shane Mosley. I mean, why shouldn't these guys -- Serio Martinez and Paul Williams -- get an opportunity to clean out the division of other guys who are considered the best before fighting each other again?" asked DiBella. "Why have them fight each other again, so that the two of the best guys in two division can knock each other off again?" asked DiBella. "Why should an Angulo be exempt from fighting the best? Why should Cotto be? Why is Martirosyan on HBO's World Championship boxing if he's not good enough to fight the best?"

Promoter Lou DiBella: Sergio Martinez, Paul Williams 'Clearly the Best at 154, 160'

What about when he was talking about going to the Los Angeles Clippers? Here was an interesting thing, because Larry King says, "That'll put you in the same city as Kobe." And if you watch this, you see [LeBron's] left eyebrow go up very slightly and then he grabs his collar and he scratches his neck. It's almost like you're choking, so he pulls his collar away. Whenever you rub your neck it's an indication of tension. Even more telling than that was that little, almost imperceptible eye lift. That's a very large indication of skepticism. So if he goes there [to Los Angeles], I'd be really surprised. Tonya Reiman, author of "The Power of Body Language: How to Succeed in Every Business and Social Encounter" and a regular consultant on "The O'Reilly Factor" on Fox News Channel, agreed to watch Larry King's interview with free agent LeBron James on Friday and then discuss with Page 2 what she observed in James' body language.

Let’s remember, Pacquiao was a flyweight not all that long ago. He’s added what appears to be 40 pounds of muscle to his frame – nearly 40 percent of what had been his body weight – and is exchanging punches with guys who as recently as two years ago were considered mismatches. If this were a baseball player, the media would be at least casually interested. If it were a baseball player the media and fans didn’t seem to like – Barry Bonds, for example – the casual interest would go a tad further. And if it were Mayweather claiming "superstition" or "disrespect" as hollow reasons for backing away from the biggest fight ever, the mobs would be lining the streets. It shouldn’t make any difference that Pacquiao is popular. And it shouldn’t matter that Floyd and his family circus are villains. In this case, right is right.

"You just have to look at my face and his (Lyoto). I didn’t suffer one kick, only some knees but he has a rib broken neither get to walk and his mouth is stitched. They made some fighting analysis and I landed the double of hits. Will the judges say they didn’t see that? They will speak anything to justify the result. I feel pissed for my score (18-4), I prize a lot for it and I don’t consider this loss. I didn’t meet Lyoto after the fight but he’s a man I respect so much. He’s blameless, it’s judges’ culprit. Only them say the fight that way. I don’t blame Machida at all."

Question: How’s living in Canada? Rampage: It’s cool doing this movie! It is fun, but lots of work. I am playing a character that i thought was the coolest man alive growing up. I used to walk around my house pretending I was B.A. Baracus, reciting his lines to my family and friends. It proves to me how good God is. I am actually wearing the costume right now! hahaha Question: Do you see yourself fighting anytime soon? Rampage: I’m not a psychic. I can’t say. I have other movie offers already and I really miss my kids, it’s a lot easier on your family doing movies then at a ten week fight camp. I really have to think things through. I’m not saying that I don’t want to fight well see what the future holds Rampage and Tiki interview. Rampage speaks about the show, fighting, and movies.

"The UFC has done a lot for me but I think I have done more for them … this movie role came about that I have been trying to get for over a year & as soon as I found out I was close to getting it, I called Dana right away & asked to push the Memphis fight back just a month or so. I told him what this movie role meant to me. I told him that I used to bond with my father watching the tv show as a kid when my parents where still married & it represents the memories I had with my father when we lived together. My dad became an alcohalic & addicted to drugs & we grew apart. But after my dad got his life back together, I was so proud of my dad & I told him I would always take care of him in the future & make him proud of me. My dad & I are still very big fans of the show & I am basically doing this for the childhood memories I had spending time in front of the tv with my dad. Dana went on the internet & mocked me because of that & I still did nothing. Dana & I finally talked & we made up & then after that he went back on the internet & said some bullshit & he was talking bad about the movie when information is not even supposed to be released & talking about payments which is not even true could really hurt my future acting career, which could very well last longer than my fighting career. I’m not like Randy Couture. My body has been getting so many different injuries that I wont be able to fight until my forties & neither do I want to fight that long. So I feel like my second career could be in jeopardy.. so I’m done fighting. I’ve been getting negative reviews from the dumb ass fans that don’t pay my bills or put my kids though college. So I’m hanging it up. I’m gonna miss all my loyal fans but hopefully they’ll follow me to my new career & I will gain more loyal fans along the way. & all you hater fans out there can kiss my big black hairy ass! & anybody that don’t like what I just said can come try to kick my ass! I still feel the UFC is a great organization and I felt like I was very loyal to them but they didn’t respect my loyalty but I wish the UFC the best. I did a lot of things for them. I wish no bad blood between us but I have kids & a family back in Memphis to provide for & thats all that matters to me!"

Boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. agreed to pay $5.6 million in back taxes before the Internal Revenue Service was poised to take the money from his purse after his Saturday comeback fight against Juan Manuel Marquez. The IRS sent the Nevada Athletic Commission a levy notice on Sept. 4 ordering Mayweather's unpaid taxes from 2007 to be deducted from his $10 million fight purse, commission executive director Keith Kizer told The Associated Press. Kizer said the IRS backed off one week later, after Mayweather agreed to pay the money. Mayweather won the fight in a unanimous decision.

"Maybe the ones who have said that I’m done are right. Obviously, I can’t break my mental block in the Octagon. Besides, I’ve been training like a spartan for 20 years now — my body is worn out. The years caught up to me, I’ve been worn out…. [Junior dos Santos] won that fight and would have won it by decision. Simply put, he is younger, more hungry, more aggressive. He wanted to win a lot more…. The mat was slippery like glass. I almost fell down trying to do the left high kick. But I’m not looking for an alibi. This was not the performance the public would pay for. I don’t feel the hunger anymore. I started playing it safe, I’m not ready to take risks. I would like to thank everybody that supported me and stood by me and everyone who helped me to prepare for this fight. I’ve been living a military life for 20 years now. Getting up at 6 a.m. and having physically challenging task up to 8 p.m. I want a normal life. I’m entering a cage and thinking about fishing in Privlaka. You can’t win that way. Maybe I should’ve quit after I won the open weight grand prix."

I was watching the Diaz-Malignaggi fight and I had it 115-113 for Diaz because of how much more aggressive he was. It was a close fight. However, don’t expect me to shed many tears for Paulie. A guy who has won 26 fights, only five of which are knockouts, and knowingly going into a situation where he knows he doesn’t have any advantage whatsoever, should have a plan to combat that inequity. If he knows that this is Diaz’s hometown, and he feels the judges are going to be biased for Diaz, then the game plan should have been simple: Remove any influence by the judges by knocking Diaz out. The judges could have been Shane Mosley, Oscar De La Hoya and Bernard Hopkins for all I care. Had Paulie gone into the fight planning to knock out Diaz instead of boxing him and leaving it up to the judges, the judges wouldn’t have mattered. I understand that Paulie has the power "of a squirt gun" (as you put it, brilliantly by the way) but his plan should not have been to box. His plan should have been to knock out Diaz.
