Lead the league in 3 and outs

i just read on redskins.com in a Greg Blache "meet the coaches" that the redskins defense led the league in forced 3 and outs last year. anyone have access to stat people who could tell you if we were the first team to do this and miss the playoffs? does anyone else feel like we have been squandering a championship caliber D for years now? Or that we are about to do it again?

Saw this article on remaining free agents and picked out a couple i thought could make our team. what do you guys think?

Elton Brown, OL * just remember him being a beast at UVA and our G situation is sketchy at best unless we resign kendall

Clark Haggans, LB * steelers linebackers can usually play

Matt Stover, K * sweeezum sucks

John Carney, K * is he really available bc he hit 92% of his field goals last year?

Angelo Crowell, LB * we've talked about this one

Tatum Bell, RB * pretty explosive but has issues

Mark Tauscher, T * depth player

Jimmy Williams CB * i went to Virginia Tech and he was a beast but im partial

Bobby Engram, WR * knows the system, could be a 3rd down option at least and teach the young guys a thing or 2

was it just me or was this the same old redskins?

our defense bends but doesn't break ( minus first drive of season with lucky giant breaks). our offense couldn't score and was beyond bad with 4th quarter clock management. where was the no huddle at?

now on a positive note, i drank through the whole thing and maybe for the first time ever during a loss came out not terribly pissed off. lets be realistic, our offense is struggling in the new scheme and the D just needed a couple series to get back to form.

I know everyone is bitter about a first game loss but keep it real and let zorn get a chance to work this out. the defense will keep us in games just like it has for the past several years. lets see what happens next week at home after an extra long preparation period and then make stronger judgements.
