http://www.sbnation.com/users/Forty Posts made by Forty on SB Nation http://www.burntorangenation.com/2008/3/5/193013/2078 Forty Thu, 06 Mar 2008 01:04:19 -0000 <p>I thought I'd share some of the happenings going on out West.</p><p>As most of you may know, in California the public schools compete directly with the private schools in all sports.</p><p>Today, the LA Times has two articles about a new proposal that recommends a seperate play-off system for public and private schools. &nbsp;The two articles, to me, seem a bit slanted in favor of the private schools and make it sound like the public schools are whining because they can't compete for championships. &nbsp;While public school say that private schools have none of the restrictions, boundary issues, or some of the financial concerns that public schools have in California.
