It's our favorite American loving friend Ricky Stanzi's birthday today. Happy birthday to him and I think the good birthday vibes will propel him to a masterful performance tomorrow morning.

(On a side note, is it possible to him to change his birthday to July 4th? I think if a person can change their name then fuck it they should be able to change their birthday too.)

The amount of support we can provide to our team is being underutilized. I can no longer sit back and let my desire be repressed. I must put forth my idea, my vision, my plan. A few weeks back I throughly enjoyed reading through the Hawkeye Confessions' posts and whilst doing so ambition started rushing through my veins. It was so much fun reading about everyones complaints, but why don't we actually DO something instead of just whine about what we don't like. Everyone loves going to football games, but we all agree some things could be better. Given that everyone is entitled to their own opinions and many confessions are disagreed upon, I have set out to make a list of the most agreed upon or viable. Why shouldn't we be able to suggest and actually get the Hawkeye Marching Band to play better music? Or suggest other songs to be played during timeouts or halftime over the speakers? Or take suggestions to the Hawk's Nest coordinators to have other things for the student section to do? We can make whoever is responsible for the skip in Enter Sandman fix it. We can have the crowd do something better during timeouts, after big plays, etc. We can organize great ideas like the Red, White, and Blue out on September 11th for the ISU game. We can do all of these things and much, much more.

BHGP is a wide representation of the Hawkeye Nation, ranging from young to old, male or female, alumni, students, even those who have never gone to the university. Needless to say, we have a lot of credibility as a representation of the fan base, good with the skillz of the internetz, and knowledge of how the university works and what would bring about a change. I need everyone's help to share information of which ideas should be put forth and how to get these ideas accomplished. We can band together to make this season and future seasons of Hawkeye football and other athletics more enjoyable. Let's put together a string of some posts here and come up with a plan of action. Help me, help you, help each other, help the Hawkeyes, help AMERICA! That is all.
