Interesting fanpost over at BCB (re: Bozo the Clown)

The leader of BCB posted this and I thought that it was interesting enough to steal his thunder and post it here (sorry Al)

It seems that Bozo the Clown's grandson is a pitcher for the Angels....

http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/chi-12-bell-angels-aug12,0,5050865.story

It says that this guy's grandfather was the orginal Bozo(from the 60's till 1984) so I would have been too young (26) to see or remember seeing him.  However, for you folks that do remember him... well... there ya go

Cardinals drinking game (circa spring 2003)

Hey guys,

I asked if I should post this in the game thread for 7-10-09 and I got a positive response so here goes.  This is the drinking game I created for watching Cardinals games in my dorm/apartment room with my friends at Bradley University waaaayyy back in my sophomore year of college.  I updated Walk Jocketty with John Mozeliak, but I thought that I you guys might have suggestions to make it even better.  Please try it out, if its your type of thing, and let me know what you think (Mods, please go easy on me if I have violated any decorum posting this here).

(Pardon the crazy formatting. I copied this from a word file and I haven't taken the time to try and figure out the tabs and such for the fan post entry feature).

need help finding an obscure cardinal song

Hey guys,

I am currently working on putting the significant busch stadium songs into the sound mixer for MLB 2k9.  Somebody posted the music for FSN-Midwest to play at the intro, end, and in between each inning and it sounds sweet.  Now I am working on the stadium music and first I wanted to try and get the organ music taken care of.  I have recorded "Here comes the king", "Gametime", "Meet me in St. Louis", and "Take me out to the ballgame" as performed by the Boyer guy at Autozone park off of youtube and I need one more.

Does anybody have or know of someone who has a recording of the song that Ernie Hayes plays after a base hit at Busch?  Even if its a good recording from a camcorder on youtube I can still capture it.  My problem is that I cannot find it.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

An unbelievable baseball video game observation

Guys,

I know that there are some of you out there like me.  You don't have a playstation 3 (only an xbox 360), and so you only have one choice for a baseball video game for this year.  Well I was looking at some screen shots for the new MLB 2K9 game this morning and I noticed something so incredibly odd, yet hysterically funny, that I just had to share.

Take a look at this screen and tell me if you notice what I did.

This is a screen capture of the end of the year awards for 2009 (if you had either played or simulated the entire season).  As you can see, Jeff Suppan has been given the gold glove for N.L. pitchers.  However, take a look at the name on the bottom of the list and tell me if you can believe your eyes.  I am most likely going to get this game (as it is the only choice I have and I don't want to buy "The Show" for ps2), but I sincerely hope that they shoot (and or horsewhip) whoever is in charge of ranking the players attributes.

What would your song be?

Hey guys,

It is both a boring day at work as well as a boring time for a baseball fan so I thought that I throw a possibly fun question out there for discussion (Since it is a question about music I thought that it might also make for some good off-topic banter as well).

If you were a major league baseball player what song would you want playing while you walked up to the plate?

I think that I would pick "Typical" by Mute Math but "Owner of a Lonely Heart" by Yes would also be cool
